Okay, I have an issue that has never ocurred in my life before, and I seriously need help from the experts.

A few days ago, my guy friend had become very strange and started to flirt with me a few weeks after breaking up with his girlfriend, who is my best friend. Every now and then, he holds my hand without my permission and walks with me. Because I'm shy and have bad communication skill with guys, and I have an issue with saying no - in certain cases - I can reject him. This Saturday, my freinds and I (including him) are going to see a movie and he even said he wanted to sit by me.

It's freaking me out alot and I don't know what to do... I knew he liked me since the beginning of the school year, but I just want my friend back, he's like my friggin' brother.

Please, help.

There's really nothing you can do except to open your mouth, and say the following words: "I don't want to have an intimate relationship with you. I would like to keep you as a friend and nothing more. I only see you as my brother." Say it's harsh words, but if you say it firmly and straightforward, you can stop this sooner. Just say that you want your friendship to stay with a brother/sister love, not a girlfriend/boyfriend love. And about your issue in saying no, trust me, once you do this, you'll feel a lot better.

Uh... just tell him you're not looking to get into a relationship. Plus if you did it might ruin the great relationship (friendship) that you already have. One rule of thumb in my case, never date friends and never date ex girlfriends of friends.

Thank you so much. I think I can handle it from here :)

Yeah, just say it straight to him that you don't feel the same way about him. He probably just wants you as a rebound girlfriend since it's only been a few weeks since his breakup. It would be a bad idea to get involved with him even if you did like him since his ex is your best friend, and she'd be hurt by you and him getting together. Let me know if you want this closed. Good luck.

I pretty much agree with what everyone else said, so its best just to get the confidence to say how you feel about it. He's not a mind-reader so its best to say something before its too late and gets too awkward. Good luck! _smile.gif
