thanks for the responds. is $20.00 in paypal money the same as $20.00 in real life/ my bank account. do they charge twice, once for users sending to my site and then another for me transfering it to my bank or just once? what other companies are as good as paypal for things like this?

Since you're asking about other companies, I would seriously caution you about using a method of payment that people aren't familiar with. Paypal is a system that people are used to, people trust it, and even if they don't have paypal they can still use it very easily to pay with a credit card. The paypal site has plenty of information about how to use it alongside your online business, including site integration.

They'll only charge the fee once when transferring the funds from the donator's account, to yours.
No fees are charged when transferring money from your paypal account to your bank account and vice versa.

uhhh...yea...paypal is just a safe outlet to have money transferred to your account w/o dealing with checks or money orders...either they have the money & pay or don't....hassle free for you & the customer. No such thing as internet money...

^ There such a thing as internet money, but those currencies usually stay within their network since obviously, it isn't real.
Paypal deals with real money.
If your balance is $55.00 in Paypal, you'll have $55.00 in your bank account to spend once you transfer your Paypal balance.
