It's permanent, as in you won't remove the link from your site once you've been made an OM.

I have two questions.
I have an old account that I used to use (like way back when, created March 2004) with 800 odds posts, but I changed it because I didn't like the username and didn't know I could have changed it before I already accumulated some posts on the new one. I have 2 ppd, and I was wondering if I could transfer them over to the new one and delete the old account.
Also, do tutorials count for anything to be OD? I do mostly Flash for everything, and I can't do much more to contribute other than give advice on tuts and help people.

2nd question: i don't think you can, cuz they don't say anything about flash tuts

1. An admin can transfer your posts over but can't delete your old account.
2. I'm pretty sure tutorials aren't mentioned in the requirements thing but they can count. That's how I got OD, I think.

Dec 31 2008, 01:53 AM
http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php...t&p=2580354You basically promote the site. I don't think many people are OP's though.

^Just send me or karmakiller a PM and let us know what your old account was, then we can transfer the post count over.

I didn't go on my account for about three years before I started posting... I just had to suck it up and keep posting to raise my PPD. Don't worry, you'll get there.

What counts as a post.
If you reply to one thread twice does that count as two or does it have to be two different threads?

Ok, so I had a question. I was wondering if I could become an "Official Designer" using my script submissions. I have 23 myspace scripts to date and am 3rd on the total script submission leaderboard right now. Scripts might just be codes but still effect the design of your page. So do they count and if not do you think they ever will in the future? Thanks.

I wouldn't want someone to get official status by scripts alone.. They're too easy to rip-off

Sep 18 2009, 01:57 AM
Well that may be but not everyone who makes scripts "rips them off" from others. In fact people who do that really get on my nerves.

Sep 18 2009, 02:51 AM
^ That's true, but it's pretty much impossible to tell whether the scripts are your own or taken from someone else, even if you've made them all yourself. They don't have any distinguishing characteristics like graphics or layouts do.

Yeah I'm sorry but I pretty much agree with Thomas and Gabrielle. I mean you're not designing anything, technically :/

Sep 18 2009, 06:18 PM
I with them ^ You're posting the codes for people to use when they design. But you aren't designing the codes. You can always use your codes to design some stuff and become an OD.

Well alright then I'm not gonna argue here lol. Everyone has their own opinion. I do design custom layouts but I never really share them.
For example the layout I'm using now:

Lol, I know. I've submitted layouts before. I was just giving an example so people know I do actually design things. I wasn't gonna submit it and have no intention to :p

Cool. You could always post more and apply for Official Member instead of Official Designer... they have the same forum perks.
