But im completely clueless on which one to buy because i need one that will work with both my mac laptop and my windows desktop.

any ideas?

Oh and i dont want to spend a mini fortune on one, but i am willing to spend enough so that the image quality isn't a piece of shit.

the new 2.0mp gigaware auto-adjust cams are pretty nice.

instead of touching the webcam manually and focusing it everytime, it does it for you.

Anyways, I recommend getting a webcam somwhere between $50-$70 for a decent one. If you're going to be cheap and get a $20-$30, might as well not get it. Those webcam are wayyy to sucky, and since you aren't willing to pay like $100 for one, which I don't see why you would want one for that much, but yeah 50-70$ is good. I suggest Logitech brand. Mine's 2.4 MegaPixels. It's pretty decent.

I bought mine for $9.99, cheyeah! I think that for the price I paid it looks pretty decent. The picture on my CB profile was taken with it.

I've always liked Logitech ones. _smile.gif I'm not sure if they work on the Mac but it works on PC.

Tung - what kind of webcam you got? It doesn't look very clear, unless the one you were using during chizzat is an old one.
Tung
I like Pandominum bought a $20 Logitech Webcam lol. Yeah it was the one I had on Chizzat, so blurry. But then later on I got a better Logitech webcam 2.4MP this time, way much clearer. Friend gave it to me. She got it for like $70 i think.

Are you looking for function or mobility?

For just plain function:
Do you have a digital camera or a camcorder? Why not use that. Sure it's a bit cumbersome, mainly the camcorder, but it's free and not as craptastic as most 10-50$ webcams.

For mobility:
Anything around 10-50$ is a crapshoot in quality. I recommend Logitech though.
