I've never had braces and probably won't get them.

i really want braces and i asked the dentist and he said i was crazy =/

I can barely even remember having them, I try to block all that out.

i wish i did have them on the bottom though, since my bottom teeth aren't perfectly straight... bah.

Have them..lol. For more than 2 years, almost 3. T_T orthodontist told me that I'll get them off in a month, but he said that a year ago too.

I have them now, and I wanted them when I got them. I hated how my teeth were before, and I would prefer them to be straight.

They hurt like a son of a bitch when you get sick though, I have cuts and scars in my mouth from them. >_> So if you have a small mouth you may not want to get braces >_>

but my smile came out nice, so i guess it was worth it.

I do unfortunatley! :( It takes so long to brush them. I have to brush for 10 mins in the morn, 5 mins after lunch, and 10 mins after tea. I cant have fizzy drinks or fruit juices, and I had to cut down the amount of sugar i ate, which sucked. And i STILL am getting brown marks on my teeth where the glue came out of the sides of the block.. WTF?
You are crazy if you wanted them. Its torture! :P

i got them yesterday they say 10-12 months. and they are only on the top teeth. and i wont get the wires on for another month

Everyone always asked where my wire was.
And it just looked really stupid.

I had my 4 wisdom teeth taken out & 2 extra ones (the 4th tooth on both sides from the front 2 teeth).......

i got mines on the 30th. it didnt hurt the first few hrs. i took a nap and woke up, it hurt like a bitch.

Use to have them. Got them taken off.

I didn't wear my retainers consistently so now my teeth kinda moved out of place.

I got braces when i was six ;A; and had them until i was 11, then they took them off and gave me a shitty retainer, and then i got them again when i was 12 and got them off when i was 15

so yeah kindof shitty incluging a retainer cage i had to wear and every kid made fun of me for that and i could not talk properly

I've had braces for 1 month...... going to my orthodontist appointment tomorrow morning to get them tightened for the 1st time........

Its probably going to be mashed up food for me for the next few days till my teeth stop feeling tingly & sore.... O_O"

Well......i have 1 yr & 5 months left *hopefully* till I get them off & have retainers on~

However, cleaning & flossing teeth with braces on takes me ages... When I finished eating, I always go to the bathroom to clean them coz it starts to smell gross after a while depending what I ate..... people think I'm weird carring a toothbrush, toothpaste & dental floss in a gladwrap bag in my handbag..... all this work better pay off & better be worth it!! =_=

no not THAT bad, the metal curved hebind the back of my frint teeth, you could see it, and it made you talk shitty, my R's sounded slurred. T's sounded like "dea" S's were sounded like "sslshsh"..yeah

I had braces and didn't follow the "what not to eat" at all. I chewed ice a lot and had to get the back ones re-glued like 3 times lol.

And at first I brushed after I ate and didn't chew gum but after like 3 weeks I stopped doing that. But my teeth now are nice and straight and pearly white :D

yeah, i had braces on for about 2 years and a half, now i'm wearing retainers :)

I had braces from June of '07 to December '08 and February 2009 - I got my tops on first and so I got them off first and my bottoms off second. They weren't bad at all. I have a permanent retainer on the bottom and a regular, non-permanent one on the bottom. :)

yup. getting them in in 2 months, im 18.5 and wont get them off till im almost 21 =S

It's interesting how some girls I know doesn't need braces and they have it. And some girls who do need braces doesn't have it.
