haha. Thanks! Yeah, I was cruising through Livejournals last night. There's a couple of really good Twilight based communities that I thoroughly enjoyed reading through. On a side note, I'm starting to like LJ more and more. I definitely need to concentrate some efforts on my LJ and contributing to communities there more often.

Goodness, I don't think Shane West is at all what I would imagine. Seriously, I really do think that Rob P is a fantastic choice in the role. I think some people might be caught up in him being "Cedric Diggory", which is entirely unfair. In fact, last night I was watching some interviews of his and he said that he hated that character, because that type is someone he would have hated in high school. Something like that.

Anyway, there's some clips on youtube showing him in roles that represented a more broody type. Very convincing stuff. And to me, he has a very unique beauty. He's a hot guy, for sure, but he's also pretty, which is something similar I think of when I think of Edward (which is far too much lately. ;)) XD

I was reading through some fan reactions, not just here, but in several places that talks about Gaspard Ulliel. Without doubt, he probably has the majority of fan votes for the role. I don't see it. I think he has a look that could fit, but there's a depth missing that I think Rob P has.

i've never really gotten the whole Gaspard Ulliel craze...i don't see how he could fit into Edward at all. but that's just me.
i'm pretty excited for Robert now that i've gotten over the shock. i can't waaaaiiiiit!

I don't think I will get over Robert Pattison until I see the movie. Even in photos that he seems decently attractive I still feel he is completely wrong for the role... but hopefully when I see how they make him up, my opinion will change. But that kind of bothers me because then I feel like the only way he can even come close to being Edward is after he is "made up" Sigh.

I finished New Moon last night (yes, I read the entire thing last night) and JACOB IS CAST TOO YOUNG. The hell? How is that even going to work?! Is he a werewolf in real life? Will he get all muscular by the next film (assuming they make another, which they BETTER do)? I've started Eclipse and the whole time I'm thinking... uh... how will that work with that actor? Holy hell!

Are you in twilight_film? I'm in that one, but I don't care that much about the film anymore, actually. >_< I'm too wrapped up in the posts made in dbsg and yg_bigbang (Asian artists, heh). LJ communities are seriously addictive.

I think Gaspard looks a lot more like Edward than Robert ever could.

I'm in Lion&Lamb (lion_lamb), which is my favorite and twilight_film, which is also great. I think that people crosspost a bit, but with the overwhelming amount of icon posts lately (thanks to all the wonderful set pictures Amy Howe took), I could be confusing people.

I sympathize with you though, regarding Gaspard. I know once I set my mind on something, especially when it comes to particular person in a particular role, it's next to impossible to wrap my mind around someone different.

uh...duh, they'll cast another person /if/ they do New Moon. remember Jacob is younger than Bella and the crew. he goes from oober young looking for his age, to oober muscular and sexy. 'nuff said.

I guess. It just creeps me out right now. I mean, he's the friggin kid from The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl for goodness sake. o_O lol

Well at the very beginning when Jacob's brought into the story he does seem really young and you'd never guess that him and Bella would end up in love... (<- does this have to be censored?) So at the moment, I think the actor fits.

The way he talks kind of annoys me, but maybe it'll grow on me... I hope.

I've had a hard time adjusting but that's ONLY because I was in the middle of New Moon when I saw that he was cast. Then my reaction was worse after Eclipse. I thinking... Bella kisses this kid? She's in anguish over this kid? But, this kid IS the Jacob in Twilight (which I've read three times already, thank you very much lol).

I've re-read New Moon and Eclipse as well.

So yeah, Twilight, this kid is Jacob. Jacob's this kid with a cute crush on Bella. I can see him giggling, responding in his cute little voice when Bella does her wicked (albeit dorky) female flirting with him.

im pretty sure i will never think of him as more than the a-hole who stole some of bella's love away from edward......

but yeah, the way he talks annoys me too

Ugh, the cast is so horrible. When I first heard whats his face was playing Edward, I wanted to Cry... I was like WTF ewww no f**king way!

I never read Twilight, and it seems a lot of people love the book. It seems interesting, so I guess I'll watch the movie when it comes out.

Robert Pattinson seems like a definite fit and look for a "vampire". Regardless of the physical/mental traits of Edward Cullen since I never read the book. xD

I have no idea why people always freak out when a book turns into a movie/show. There's nothing to expect most of the time because everyone knows in movies/shows that it's going to change somehow in a certain aspect... You can't always expect every single detail that is exactly like the book for the movie. It may be hard to find a certain person for a role due to the physical/mental appearance or somewhat for a character in a book.
