i think that usually guys ask the girls out. although, i believe it shouldn't be limited to one sex. i mean, why should it be up to the guys to ask girls out. i mean, i'm a girl and i've asked guys out before. although i think we should have the power to ask guys out, i think you should look at it from their point of view. i mean, is it really fair to them? cuz, i know alot of guys that really do get scared to ask out girls. we're not the only ones who get scared. but it's all good.

I think because of the past, u kno when the man asked permission to date a daughter, is y ppl think that boys ask. For no reason to, if u think about it, it could have been the women who asked permission, or asked for marrage, but thoses custums were set in the times when men didn't think of women as equals.
