I always find out that they give me the exact number of fortune cookies. for the past years i have known they have always given me the correct amount of fortune cookies... its so weird like my family is of three and they would always give me three.

has this ever happened to you ?

i usually dont get fortune cookies shrug.gif
michellerrific
No.

Rather, they give us more.
I think because we eat there a lot. So they like us.

you mean like when you order for delivery?

'cause in a restaurant, i assume they count how many people are at a table...

but yah, when i order takeout, they usually give me less than i need, 'cause there's at least six of us, and they only give like four. one time though, they gave us six 'cause we ordered a lot. maybe it's based on how much you order?

I don`t eat chinese food, but whenever my parents order it and bring it home, there are either too little or too many fortune cookies for the family.

Never noticed.

I have gotten a fortune cookie that read, "Eat at Chang's, spread the word!"
Teesa
shouldn't this be in food?

mm, yes, they usually give us one extra!
DoubleJ
I remember when I was getting ready for my CPAT, I would get fortune cookies, that had to do with the test. It was definitely a weird experience.

We've only eaten chinese food at restaurants, never order. So we always get the right amount of fortune cookies. I keep my fortunes. I've got quite a few of them. :)

Yeah!!!! Even when we get takeout they always know how many fortune cookies to give. It's always been exact.
YumiTsubaki
Yeah, it has.
The Chinese people here are really nice though.
Like when my grandpa and half-brother were here visiting, they gave us the exact amount we needed without asking. It was weird.

I notice it depends on the size of the order. When I order for myself... they send 2 fortune cookies.

When me and my friends order, they send 4-6 cookies.

I don't think they specifically know how many people are eating, instead they go by how many meals you buy.
Cow-Moo
usually we have left over.
but most of my family is weird and they don't eat them.
But when they do it seems like they do give me the exact number.

I don't get them in authentic Chinese restaurants.. I rarely eat from places like Panda Express and things of that sort and I never really payed attention to the amount of fortune cookies they give out.

WEIIIRDDD! I got a fortune cookie that told me I was going to be hungry soon and that I should order a take-out straight away. Do alot of chinese places do that, or are ours just special?
stephinika
I love fortune cookies, haha. XD.gif So awesome. But yeh I guess I usually get the right amount...I never really paid attention that much.

I don't eat Chinese food that often, but whenever my friends and I go out to eat they still give us a ton. Maybe that's 'cause we go to the cheap places that get fortune cookies in the bulk.
Mm-giraffe
They usually give them out 1 per meal, so if you get three you should've ordered 3 meals or seeming meals. That's how they do it by me anyways.

lol, but yes they always get it right cause once 2 people were sharing one meal and we still got the right number xD

very strange..
aaayotiffany
my family usually gets more than four.
maybe its because we got there a lot and they like us?

but sometimes we don't get any at all. because they know us.
just like how they don't give the americans chopsticks but they do give the asians [that they know] chopsticks.

i think.
does what i said even make sense?
