Do you love watching American Idol? Do you enjoy singing in the shower or just plain singing in general? Do you find yourself amused by criticizing other people? Do you have nothing better to do? Well, cB Idol may just be for you!

After an unsuccessful try to launch cB idol a couple of months (or was it a year?) back, cB Idol is back from the dead. Here's hoping we'll have more participants.

What we're looking for:

• Contestants: Heck, you don't have to be a good singer to compete! (It wouldn't hurt...) If you wanna show off your voice or just sing for the heck of it. Please post a reply in this thread. :)

Rules
These were from the last round.

How it Works:
This being the preliminary round, members who are interested send in a sample recording. Before the submission deadline has passed, the judges will determine the number of participants for the first official round. Out of the submissions, we will choose the best in order to fill those spots. Each round, based on community feedback and judges' opinions, a participant will be eliminated from the competition until only one is left, our CB Idol.

Submission Guidelines:

• Each submission should be at least 30 seconds long.
• Use only your own voice - no background vocals or harmony.
• Background music is allowed and recommended. If you don't know where to get accompaniment tracks for your songs, I suggest searching for a midi file - these can be easily found and are usually free. Backup vocals ARE allowed, but keep it minimal. We want to hear you, not you doubled over again and again and again.
• Submission must be your own and must be something that was not previously posted elsewhere.

Joselyn, most people are just doing recordings (to my knowledge) as opposed to videos. You could always do that if videos are too much trouble.

So just to double check...if we have music with people singing in the background its okay? Cause yeah...I suck at finding good recordings without voices. But yeh, I'd turn it down soft if it had voices, but yeh...so thats okay right? =p
