After three months, it finally ended. Now I can't wait for all my shows to come back with new episodes.

They should all be fired for what they did imho.

What exactly happened? All I keep hearing is "the writers went on strike!" and then all the causes of that happening...but what was the REAL cause of them going on strike?

Money, money, money.
I'm happy, too. We need something better than these crappy/cheesey reality shows.

Well, that was fast.

As long as I get to have the rest of my season finales and summer movies, I'm content.

Who? The writers? If so, why on earth should *they* be fired? They fought for what they deserved, in my opinion. I'm glad this happened and I'm glad that they are finally getting a fair share.
I think a few months without new episodes isn't much of a big deal. Sure, I missed my shows too but there are ways of otherwise killing time.

^ I agree. It's finally good to see some negotiation.
But this has been causing a lot of television torture, anyway. Glad to have the shows coming back soon.

It's more than just us missing new eps.
The industry lost millions upon millions just from those 3 months.
Granted, I do believe that they deserve the revenues from internet based viewing, but there are better ways of going about doing it.

I completely agree that there were serious consequences. I do not, however, believe that there was another way to get this done. I highly doubt that if the guild went into network executives' offices and said, "hey, we'd like a cut of internet revenue" they would be met with a "oh sure, no problem!". I think this particular strike has made a long lasting impression that sets the precedence for ongoing and future contractual negotiations.
My stance on "missing a few eps" is merely a reaction to fan behavior.
