art related, of course, so i figured it belonged in here better than school, even though it is for my art class.
i need examples of size, overlap, cross-contour lines, atmospheric perspective, cast shadows (spotlight), and position. i understand what they are, i just need creative examples.
eh, in case you don't know what i'm talking about...
size:when using similar objects of different sizes, smaller objects seem farther away than the larger ones.
overlap:place one object on top of another to produce a feeling of depth.
cross-contour:curved lines that appear to wrap around the object adds depth.
atmospheric perspective:lighter values tend to recede behind darker ones.
cast shadow (spotlight):shadows are cast off a three dimensional object.
position:things drawn ont he edge of the paper make the object appear closer.
remember, i know what they are, i just need some creative examples.
thing i'm not looking for would be...
size:bats, buildings
overlap:trees
cross-contour:candycane, snake, shirt
atmospheric perspective:mountains
cast shadow:people, simple shapes
position:hands...
thanks a ton in advance. i have no creativity today.
