I've seen tons and tons of drinks that claim they cure it, but none of them that i've used work.

The best remedy I know is eat some bread to soak up some of the alcohol!

^ no, eating after drinking doesn't help.
Drink a lot of water because alcohol pretty much dehydrates you (which is why you pee a lot when you drink). That and Advil = best for hangovers.
But if you're throwing up... just don't sleep facing up and let it come out, you're probably still drunk.
And next time, drink better quality alcohol. The more expensive it is, the lesser your hangover will be. ;)

^lol It's a fact that drinking on a full stomach gets you drunk slower.(Can't think of a sophisticated way to say it)Food obsorbs alcohol. And it doesn't matter the quality, it matters the quantity. (Alcohol %)
EDIT:
Sorry I was wrong about the bread thing. It just slows down the process of alcohol entering the blood stream, nothin about bein drunk.

Yeah, you're less likely to be sick if you eat beforehand.
I've heard theories that hangovers are mostly psychological, so that if you don't feel guilty, you won't be hungover. I think that's crap personally, but whatever. Drinking a lot of water is definitely the best prevention and cure. Some preemptive ibuprofen doesn't hurt either. I always try to drink as much water as I can after drinking, and I have yet to be any more hungover than more water and ibuprofen can't solve pretty quickly. I think not drinking sweet drinks is better, too.

Yeah, that theory's bullshit. You get hangovers (due to alcohol) because you're dehydrated which is why you should drink lots and lots of water.
There are some ways to prevent bad hangovers and sickness, too. Remember the liquor before beer rule (or just don't mix the two).

I went out last night and had the most to drink I've ever had in my life. I'm not too bad this morning; but when you do go drinking make sure you drink plenty of soft drinks/water between pints to keep hydrated and to drink on a full stomach if you can. Try not to mix alcoholic drinks (so no shorts with lager, and definitely no white and red wine together!), make sure to drink at least a pint of water before you go to bed and sleep in for as long as possible.
