I'm not sure if its just my school but my teachers have told me that our school's budget has been cut dramatically. Meaning that we have lost nearly 24 courses and 7 subject teachers. This means that we won't be able to have any plays, afterschool programs, nothing! Stupid government. I'm pretty sure its occuring with the rest of the schools in the U.S. Have you guys undergone it yet?
Here's some info on it:

What do you guys think about this?

Hmm, that's extremely sad and retarded at the same time. Our school hasn't undergone it yet. We still have afterschool programs, plays (which is help by the band class) and we still have extra curricular activities. That sucks that your school has a budget cut. Well, our school always gets visitors and they're always amazed on how good our school is, but what they don't know is when they're actually here, we talk shit about them.
I really know nothing about government... but I thought it was district or state that controlled the school's funding? o_0 Not really sure.
But that really is completely stupid. I don't know where that money is going, b/c education is probably the most important thing. Kids will be missing out on things that they could enjoy and learn tremendous amounts from. :C I'm sorry. I would be devastated if this happened to my school, but I doubt it will since we're moving towards becoming an "arts academy." o_o

Twenty-four courses? That's a lot! :(
I don't know if Lab has had this happen, but there are still after-school things and extracurriculars so I don't think so.

I don't think our school has yet.
I think it's really messed up. They're always talking about a need to make education better and to make programs to benefit the students, but then they do stuff like this. I don't know. Doesn't seem right.

I thought the state controlled education...
Plus it sounds like the city is cutting funds not the government
But there is a school about 20 minutes from mine that's suffering. It's the school's administrator's fault, though. They've been spending alot more money than they've been taking in .

Damn, there goes my Harvard hopes.
My school hasn't had a cut in a while, but it's not the best school, so unless if they want to cut out Geometry or some sports they don't have much to chop away at.

^ Long Island City High School.
Now they're being greedy with the school lunch. (As if it isn't bad enough.) I can't really eat any of the things they serve because I'm a pescetarian and today they were serving Mac and cheese. I asked them if I can have it as a main course and they said I can only have it as a side.

I told them that I couldn't eat anything else, so they gave me two blocks of corn. I used to be able to get it as a main like a month ago!
