I was wondering if it would be at all possible to add a Portable Graphics Section to the organized list of graphics you can submit. This can be for the Zune's and or any other Multimedia Device that supports image files. I would like to request this feature because I am working on several of wallpapers for the Zune specifically. And I also think it would be a positive contribution to the site as well as a boost in member activity.

That's actually a pretty neat idea. I would totally be interested in trying out wallpapers for my blackberry made by CB members. :3

I suppose if this category was added, it could be just "Portable Graphics" and the person submitting the graphics would need to specify which phone/media device the graphic is for.

Anyway, I know these aren't really blog-related, and there are phone/handheld device wallpaper sites out there, but why not?

Thanks guys for the feedback :) I thought it would be a good idea and beneficial to everyone who would like mobile wallpaper (since a lot of people have smart phones anyways) as well as the popular Zunes, and even PSP's etc.

I think it's a good idea. It's no something I would use, seeing as I don't have a Zune, PSP, or Blackberry. But it seems that other people would use it, so I say why not. If it's in demand.

Honestly even if it's not for one of those devices, there are lots of phones out there with customizable wallpapers, and if someone submitted it to the "portable graphics" category, they would just add a comment that says, "This is a wallpaper for the Motorola SLVR" or whatever phone/handheld device. I think it's a great idea. :)

Well I was thinking about this, considering I just got a zune. If we really want to contribute zune wallpapers as of now, the best way is to just submit it under backgrounds and simply tag it with zune, then we can just search zune and have wall papers pop up. Because its going to be a extremely long time before Jusun ever gets around to adding new categories, considering he hasn't even been close to finishing cb4.

I create my own Zune wallapers and I believe this is a great idea.

I think thats a great Idea. Especially for a temporary cause. Question: When you search graphics by keywords can you search more then one keyword?

That's true, and if the category were to be added we could then move all the graphics tagged with "zune" over and it shouldn't be that difficult.

I just tried doing a search for multiple keywords, and unless I'm doing it incorrectly, it doesn't seem possible right now.

Only thing is, if you search "zune+abstract" it searches for graphics that are tagged "zune abstract", not "zune, purple, green, abstract". More than likely the search won't turn up any results.

I am not sure if any Zune wallpapers have been submitted yet which is why there has been no results found when searching I just submitted the Across the Universe one, so we'll see how the Search Results go soon. :)

If it doesn't work I am sure there are other solutions we haven't thought of yet as a temporary solution. If any design staff are reading this, I would greatly appreciate the approval of my design ASAP. Thanks

I am not one to cause problems but I question the intent of several staff members here, and while I haven't a personal problem with any of you, I think you all do a great job, I just wonder if some of you have gotten the god complex around here.

Thanks to everyone who liked this suggestion and has helped it grow and smoothed out the details, I will be trying again to have these items approved so we can see if the search results actually show up, if so then we wont need a specific category for them.

Our rules are very clear. All graphics must be made by you. You can't just crop other peoples hard work, and submit it to us. This is a design community, and some actual designing is required if you want to submit a layout or graphic to us. God Complex? No. We're just enforcing the rules and trying to keep createblog from getting sued.

Well, as I was the one who rejected your graphic, what exactly is my intent? On CreateBlog, here is your Bible, graphic submission requirements. I should've been more elaborate, I suppose.

Sorry, what I meant is that I did try this method of searching using other keywords, and the search brought up no results. For example, I have a graphic that is a tiled chain background, and the tags are "chains, black, tile, background". If you search for chains black, chains tile, chains background, you get nothing. So if something was tagged with "zune" and "abstract", you wouldn't get anything by searching "zune abstract" - you would have to use one keyword at a time, no way to filter your results further yet.
