How do you feel with my statement? As you read it, you may or may not begin to...imagine yourself agreeing with the below statements. So I'm curious, a person might agree with everything i say. At the same time let me show you why I feel such conviction.
and why a lot people look at this and go...I can feel that way.

Alot of the religious organizations will not even allow other christian based material read or even looked at within their organization. Because they're trying to preserve what they're teaching and dont want any confusion. Or, some of them don't want the truth to truely be
revealed and their plan to be...shown for what it truely is...a destructive cult.

So anytime there is control of information, ask yourself why: what is it they're trying to hide from me? And see for yourself with wisdom what it is you're not being shown. Why am I doing this, and for what purpose does it serve?

As a general rule, I tend not to see any significant difference between harmful "cults" and "religion." They're both controlling. They both make extraordinary claims and provide less than extraordinary evidence. They often prey on the weak. They often ask for donations. They have earthly leaders who claim to have some sort of collect-free phone line to the heavens. They involve ritualistic reaffirmation - chants, song, group prayers. Really, they are all very cult-like. Religion just has it all in the subtleties, except for maybe Mormonism, Catholicism, Scientology, and Pentecost, and some more.

According to the Grolier Encyclopedia, brainwashing involves two aspects: the confession of past crimes or errors, and re-education to new beliefs. Victims of brainwashing are "brought to confess" by "isolation from familiar surroundings", and a "routine requiring absolute obedience and humility", and "social pressure" from other victims with whom they are in contact. "The last includes mutual criticism and self-criticism sessions, which play particularly on the generalized guilt feeling that all people have to some extent. At the same time regular indoctrination sessions are conducted. The acceptance of the new ideas is again fostered by group pressure and the anticipated reward of freedom."

I was just reading about this online and noticed the thread.

NoSex,
You stated in your quote above this:

What exactly do you mean that those religions you stated are different form the rest? Please explain what you were saying.

Those religions, specifically, are rather straight-forward with their doctrines.
