Apparently, NASA has released a photo that was been over the internet for couple days now, and the Mars Rover "Spirit" took images and it looks like a figure of a man on Mars. NASA has claimed it is just a peculiar rock, or a shadow. Thoughts?

as for the actual topic, it could be either...most likely a rock or something. but you never know...there's no way we can be the only life in our solar system. whether it's something smaller than what we see as a cell, there's gotta be something.

yeah i read about this one yahoo news yesterday. this seems like a history repeat of the "man-face" on the moon years ago.
I got goosebumps, watching that. 
This is just like the 2-mile long "face" that Viking picked up several years ago. The face of Mars. I think the human eye can be tricked so easily into spotting familiar shapes in an unfamiliar environment.
The arm is clearly a shadow in the background, like all of the other shadows, and the rest is a rock. This is ridiculous.
I've a strong impression it's all viral series of shots. Why it's gonna be true, there're lots of fake videomaterial in our world. For all concerned - try this link and get some more explanation.
