Out of my boys here in Okinawa, I'm the only one that will put on a fitted and some ones and listen to Maroon 5's acoustic album like it just came out at loud volumes. No shame.

Some of it is the same. I might listen to some kind of music more than they might. We both like noise and other non-commercial music. We also listen to music we create.

Nah... a lot of my friends like that shit-music on the radio. I haven't listened to music on the radio for over 3 years now. Sadly they can't handle real hip hop. They much rather listen to Soulja Boy lol
But a few of my friends and I listen to some country, classic rock, blues, alternative, metal etc..

I don't have many close friends, but I generally like different stuff. I mean, I know lots of Beatles fans, but not too many of my friends are familiar with Donovan (not too hard to believe) and Bob Dylan (THAT is.).
So, no, many of my friends listen to newer stuff, which I don't (and kind of try to avoid).

My taste is very different than my friends and i search new music & new releases myself from one
free music share community and share music with my friends. This free music community helps me to reach the new music releases quickly before my friends.

My closer friends and I have a few similar likes when it comes to music, but each of us like a specific kind of music the others don't. For example, I LOVE songs from Broadway musicals (such as those from Hairspray, Rent, and Grease), while my friends cannot stand listening to them.

Life would be so much easier if my friends all listened to the same music as me.

Not necessarily. I have a couple friends who listen to like the oldies (she's like a wannabe hippy, lol). Others who listen to hardcore metal rock, JPOP, KPOP or some sort. But some of my friends, we listen to similar music, hip-hop, alternative rock, and such. I'm more of an alternative rock type of guy. It varies really, whatever sounds good, I like it. No rap though. I don't like it.

Most of my friends prefer rap or R&B...I have no preference...You'd catch me listening to Rock, Pop Country, etc. If the beats nice I'll dance to it & if the lyrics are hot I'd listen to it...and then there are just some artists I'd listen to regardless unless it just sucks major

i listen to a lot of different things, not one specific genre. most of my friends can be divided into two genres: rap/r&b or rock/alternative. most of the times im the odd ball and don't know the songs or artists they listen to.

for the most part. we all became friends in highschool cause overall we were all really into the local punk scene. but we grew up more and our tastes changed, but we all pretty much can agree on which bands we dig and which we don't.

My closest friends like more of the punk genre...
But my best friend Meghan recently got into deathcore after I brought her to see The Devil Wears Prada and I made her a CD of a ton of good songs.
Also, friends of mine from another "group" like more pop & rap.

lololol. yes.
i listen to the WIDEST VARIETY ever. lol. all my friends are fascinated by my selection of music. there's the rock/alternative, which i've always loved. there's the rap and hip hop, which i dance to because i LOVE dancing. there's the slow jams too. jazz is cool as well. some pop music is alright. jrock & jpop. there's like two country songs that are good because my WHITEEEEE-ASSS friend showed it to me. lol.
but mostly rock/alternative and rap/hip-hop.

Meh, sometimes. Most of my friends are into cheesy, poppy stuff, and I can handle that for a while, or when I'm in the mood or out or something, but in general I like more mellow 'indie' stuff.
I hate the word 'indie'.

I listen to the same stuff as one of my friends. We tend to like the same things, though my taste is probably broader and more pretentious.
And I guess I have some friends that I became friends with because of our music taste. Otherwise, just occasional overlaps with people.

Some stuff, but I mainly have my own taste. I don't listen to a lot of r&b/ rap that some of my friends listen to. Or Asian music, for that matter.

Me and my friends share the same taste in most music(rock & pop & musicals). Unlike my friends though, I listen to a lot of classic rock, old jazz & mellow, put you to sleep indie music. A couple of my friends listen to j-rock/pop k-pop obsessively and I do listen to the occasional song, but I prefer something I can sing along to. Miyavi will forever be my love though. <333

Okay, as my best friends, kinda, but not really. But my friends at school, definetly. They all listen to hip-hop and pop, and I listen to heavy metal and rock.
