Or is there variety?
Or...do you not have friends?
It`s ok. You can be honest.

Jan 19 2008, 12:59 AM
Nope. We have entirely different tastes of music. I listen to KPOP and JPOP but my other friends listen to R&B, Rap, and Hip Hop, things like that. Although my friend and I do have a few selected R&B songs that we both commonly like, but the reason why we both like it because she's a copy catting son of a bitch and steals my music.

No, my friends all listen to some other kind of songs. Every now and then we listen to the same singles but that's all.

Not necessarily. There are some songs that I like that are the same as some friends, but then I have friends who like totally different things as well.

For the most part, no. I like a lot of old stuff, I'm a Beatles freak, but I also like a lot of Classic Rock, Some contemporary alternative, but my friends each have their own weird stuff they listen to as well, and then there's my friends who are obsessed with DCI....Drum Corps...It's scary

Jan 19 2008, 01:09 PM
Nah, I have like two or three friends like that like metal music. But I also have lots of friends that like rock music, like the stuff they play on the rock channel here... so we don't fight over the music that's playing too often.

Most of my friends listen to hip hop, R&B and rap. Personally, I dislike rap so I tend to shy away from that. I love R&B, though. I have like, 2 friends who listen to primarily Asian Music. I don't listen to that as much as I used to now, but I still do. What I love most of rock and alternative. For some reason I have very few friends who listen to it. I basically listen to everything, almost. I don't have friends IRL that listen to all of what I listen too.

I'd say yes. My friends listen to mostly everything (even some country..not me, hehe), so do I, so I'd say yes for the most part.

My fiance and I have about the same taste in music.
I have a wider variety of music I listen to than my friends do. They stick mainly to "punk" with a few exceptions, of course.

No, I put more effort into looking for music than most of my friends, But I don't really listen to the same stuff as my friends who are into music, either. Some of them are into punk, hardcore, math rock, or psychobilly, whereas I listen to a lot of shoegaze, twee pop...well, I don't know, I'm not that good at naming off sub-genres because I listen to a lot of them, but I think it can generally be said that I listen to "softer" or stranger music.

No not really. I'm more just a singles listener, not just listening to specifically one type, although most singles are pop. My friends are more into the alternative rock/metal/ etc.

--Boyfriend listens to mainstream, japanese and random bands.
i'm like all of the above, i usualy just jam to whatever but if i don't like it, i'll just ignore it~

My taste in music is off the wall. My friends alos have off the wall taste, but it varies.
This morning alone, I've listened to Gorilla Zoe (southern rap), Clint Mansell (garage-bandy-orchestra-movie-compositions), Cassidy (east coast rap), Jill Scott (nu-soul), Mos Def (hiphop) and Pastor Troy (obnoxious southern hiphop with hootin' and hollerin')

My taste is all over as well. I usually listen to disco music and 80's stuff as I am a big fan of The Jacksons, Prince, Chic etc. I also listen to alot of the 60's music i.e. Supremes, Temptations. I am definitely into some hip hop and some r&b, but rock is definitely my weakness. At any given time, I will bust out an air guitar on the streets of NYC.
