My mom really likes Pink Floyd and classic rock like that, sublime, Blood Hound Gang, and really dumb music like Kid Rock.
My dad used to love Elvis, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, and he really liked that song Air Force Ones.
That should be on the throwback song thread...

My mother listens to Luther Vandross (fat, straight, Luther), Teddy Pendergrass, Peabo Bryson, The Temptations, Sade, Stevie Wonder, Curtis Mayfield, Al Green, James Brown, Micheal Jackson (Black Mike), Janet Jackson (fat Janet), LL Cool J (Rock the Bells LL Cool J), Kool & the Gang, Parliament, etc.
My pops plays a LOT of gospel, as well as Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, Charles Mingus, etc., and... KanYe West.

Eh, I think it's just because they've been overplayed to me for so long, I can't stand them. My parents also love Johnny Cash and genuine "rock and roll."

I actually made my mom a mixed Cd to get her to stop listening th Cheer. Cheer is the only singer I can think of at the moment I will make a list and add the rest later.

My mom listens to Viet and Chinese music. I don't even know wtf she listens to, I just know it's in Vietnamese and Chinese. My dad occasionally listens to that, but he listens to some soft rock, too. He doesn't quite understand what is going on in the song, though.

My mom still loves it when an old Guns N Roses or Pantera song comes on the radio. We usually don't fight too much about music. She likes lots of the 80's/early 90's rock and alt. And, since we live in WI, country.

My mom listens to mostly Motown-70ish-"boogie down" kind of music with some 60s and 80s stuff mixed in there somewhere. My dad listens to just about everything. He'll go from Billie Holiday, Fergie, James Brown, Celtic Women, then back to Etta James.

My mom and dad listen to Chinese songs/opera and stuff like that. They even listen to some of the songs I have on my computer that are Chinese. My mom is more Americanized so she has her selected few of English songs that she likes. :)

My parents listen to old Chinese stuff from the '90s. They're actually not too bad, because it's mostly the 'legends'. But once in a while, they'll listen to some dreadful Chinese opera-like stuff. =\
