So, on February 2nd, my lady is coming over to my house for a picnic. I plan on making it very special and I want to make sure that everything is perfect. I am having a car pick her up for a day of pampering, followed by a picnic at my house for the evening. I haven't decided what to make, and I was needing some helpful suggestions. She said that she will eat anything. Also for dinner she said she wanted a pastry and she wanted something with strawberries. What should I do?

Make something that you can feed each other. I don't know what, exactly, but that's my idea. x]
DoubleJ
True that. I just really want this to be perfect ya know. She said nothing choc dipped.

She doesn't like chocolate? So much for chocolate-covered strawberries.

DAMN. Does she hate chocolate in general?

My favorite dessert that's fruity is a thin slice of pure chocolate fudge cake with a scoop of raspberry ice cream on the side, then gingerly pour chocolate syrup back and forth so it's wavy-ish. You can dress it up however you want. You're supposed to eat the two things together, and it's a great dessert.

Well she is going to have some choc.... tongue.gif

But yeah she doesn't like choc. covered stuff.

For the dinner portion though, I am still undecided as to what I want. I do know that I want to start off with a salad as an app.
yrrnotelekktric
^i think you should make sure your appetizers are different than the actual meal. i dont know. thats just me tho.
DoubleJ
Oh yeah i am going to have a nice salad as an app and then I want to do either a chicken or a steak dinner. Not sure which one yet.

SUSHI!

It's easy to make and delicious to eat. You can get all sorts of creative, too.

I was kinda thinking of strawberry shortcake as well or something like tarts. _smile.gif Homemade cupcakes are always the way to go!

I hate strawberry shortcake.

Well you're the minority then.
MissFits
Maybe mini egrolls for an appetizer?
Chicken/shrimp alfredo stuff would be a good entree
Strawberries with whipped cream would be a good dessert or an angel food cake in the shape of a heart with strawberry sauce?
I dunno.

That's really nice of you to do that for her, though.

i could totally go for one of those ice creams right nowww.

The sushi thing is so left field, and I am actually loving that idea. I also like the idea two posts up from this one. As far as strawberry shortcake, I thought of that, but I don't eat regular cake so I am going to 86 that. Yes, I am doing it for her, because she has been under alot of stress lately, and I just want her to relax and have a day where somebody makes her feel special.

So how did the date go?
DoubleJ
It didn't happen. We wound up watching the superbowl together the next night.

Picnic right?... technically meaning you don't have to have a real meal. If you know her favorite fruits, I'd recommend you make a fruit salad with of course multiple fruits. I'd try exotic ones, kiwi, mango, passion fruit, oranges, bananas, etc...

I dunno how she feels about alcohol, but you could also purchase some "wine coolers" or just get fruit juice. If you want a real meal... call her up and ask her if she likes deli meat... figure out which ones she likes, go to your nearest grocery store and place an order for a small platter of sub sandwiches. For dessert... I find it quite common that women love Cheese cake... just plain cheese cake alone will make them happy.

Keep it simple, if God wills it, it'll be a beautiful day and you guys can enjoy eating outside in the backyard. Man to man... try to please her every which way, please her vision, her taste, her emotions, and her sense of touch/feeling. Be soft, respectful, and romantic; hand feed her (fruits), sweet talk her, and always keep eye contact when you speak to her and also add a few compliments here and there.

You'll be set homie wink.gif

God darn it... I just realized it already happened. Bah! Well next time :P
