I'll probably regret admitting this but I'm trying to find the first few seasons of Arthur on DVD.

luku
not really, since they don't have anything I would really watch any more. And don't regret it...I'm a big Hannah Montana fan blush.gif

EddieV

lkajsfklajskds
omg! i love zoom!! i miss it =[ my favorite character was shingy =D
Simba
Someone recently brought up Arthur at school, for what reason, I don't remember. They were talking about how the show included race and Jewish people. Apparently one of the characters is Jewish?

I don't remember the show that well. I just remember Arthur and Buster.
shadowfax
A-A-R-D-V-A-R-K.

I learned how to spell aardvark from Arthur.

I think Francine is Jewish. I vaguely remember her mentioning Hanukkah during the Christmas episode.

Which one of Arthur's friends was celebrating Chanukah?
(Arthur's Perfect Christmas)
Francine. Because she is Jewish, Francine celebrates Chanukah in December instead of Christmas.
EddieV
wt, Francine's Jewish?
shadowfax
Yep, she is. Who celebrates Kwanzaa? I don't remember if it's the Brain or Sue Ellen.
Relentless
Ahhh, I remember watching Arthur back in elementary school (I had no cable). I would always come home after school and try not to be late so I can watch it. I believe it started at 2:30 or 3:30? Forgot.

I REMEMBER ZOOM. I liked that show. I wonder what happened to that show.

But now, I don't see it anymore or at least I don't see it air when it comes on. I usually catch Dragon Tales LOL. But not Arthur.

I like Buster. haha. hes funny.
shadowfax
Dragon Tales!

There's Ord, who is so brave at heart,
there's Cassie, so shy also very smart,
there's Zac and Wheezy and the tales of fun,
'cause two heads are better than one.

...or something like that.
DoubleJ
omg! Remember that show kidsongs!? Now that is a throwback show.

Me too. The Kratt brothers were pretty cool. I can't remember which one I liked more... Does anyone know what they do now?
Simba
My little bro and I used to make jokes about how it sounded like they were saying "Zaboomafoo! And the Crap brothers!"

And I never knew that was the same guy that was in Star Trek.
Relentless
AHHH ZAMBOOMAFOO. I remember that show. (x The brothers were kind of funny messing around with the animals. lol.

I also liked Between The Lions back then, as well as Reading Rainbow. Levar was at the family show awards thing (on the CW), wow... he's a lot older now since i havent seen him for a few years on TV.
DoubleJ
OMFG! Arthur is on right now. I am going to watch this as I haven't seen it in like 3 or 4 years. I am very serious because I gave up the hills for this.
Marlons
Hey, my middle name's Arthur. i used to watch that show all the time, along with zoom, then I got cable.
DoubleJ
OMFG! Dragon Tales is on! Thank God for 4 year old little sisters!
jaeman
Wow, I still remember watching Arthur.
Simba
Actually, I always found Dragon Tales to be annoying. ermm.gif
DoubleJ
That two headed dino really irked me.
Simba
Yeah...

That was one of the first attempts to integrate Spanish into children's programming, no? I forget if the kids were even Spanish.

They're going to take over.
Jennifer
ARTHUR wub.gif Damn, I love that show.

Sometimes it's on before I have to leave for school, I used to be late for class because I stayed home watching it until the end whistling.gif
karmakiller
Lol, I used to watch Arthur when I was really little. I'd always come home after school and watch it... and for some reason I remember always drinking orange soda. I think I got that from the show.

Occasionally, we'll watch some of their documentaries in class. Like the Blue Eye/Brown Eye experiment that third grade teacher did in 1970 and some Vietnam documentaries.
DoubleJ
I totally rushed home after school to watch it. I was obsessed with that show man.
jaeman
I always looked forward to the segments mid-show about the kids and what they do.
