lately, people have been talking about Gmail. i tried to sign up for it, but apparently, you need an invitation from another Gmail member. What's so great about gmail? Do any of you have gmail? If you do, can you send me an invitation so i can try it out?

I have a blogger account, and I got an invite because I was a blogger member. You might want to consider joining www.blogger.com and maybe you can get an invite? it's on the right side of the page when you log in.

I got invited to one a couple days from an old friend...but I haven't really done anything with it yet. It's all set up and such though.

GMail is just testing it's service currently. I recommend you not sign up for a whole bunch of things with it like newsletters and such, because your email account may just be there temporarily.

The testing is pretty much over if so many people have accounts.

Yeah Hotmail is really... arggh. right now. You only get what, 2mb of space? Even after I delete my latest spam mail, the percentage of space I have filled up doesn't go down. In fact it seems to increase little by little. bs............. but I've had this email for so long, and I signed up for a lot important accounts on it, I'm not ready to move on yet

it doesn't matter, google might have to change that, i heard a few congresspeople are trying to get a bill passed that would prevent google from doing this.

You can't invite people.

I was only able to invite people because I was a "a trusted user" or something like that. I guess that means that I had an account for a while and didn't screw it up or something.

And I was the person who invited you.

it doesn't freaking matter whether or not they can read your email!!! they don't even know you!! unless you are some criminal or if you do "stuff" (you know what i mean...the C, P, or S words) over the net then you should care...otherr then that i don't know why you would care...

You need 30-50 emails to have 2 invites.
My sister has GMail. It's good, it has 1 GB of space. That's alot. And you can search your mail and collapse and open some replying stuff. So you don't lose track of your conversation.
And it's pretty too.
By the way, hotmail blocks gmail invites.

i like gmail.

the return feature is great.

i don't really care if they're reading my mail. i don't care about the ads. i'm not discussing illegal stuff. why would i care if google knows that my friends send funny stuff to me.

it's 1000MBs, not really quite a GB,

but compared to yahoo- 100MB

and others- 5, 2, 1

it is really superior if you're not using it to deal drugs or something.

Well mines up to over 2.5 gigs now, and I honestly dont care if they read my email. Im not putting my social security number in it or anything, so no worries.

Plus, if I archive an email I need later, I can just search it in my email and find it! Its so sweet, I had to use it on a job confirmation once, because I didnt have the confirmation email they wanted me to have. I went online, googled the email, and it turns out I never got one. But yeah!

Of course now Ive got 50 invites or something like that.

in the left side of the page you have a blank space where to put the e-mail adress of the one you wanna invite and push the button invite,or something like that,
