I was wondering what to get my best friend for Christmas. I was her Secret Santa for like two years in a row and I wasn't able to get her gifts (at least, good gifts). So, to make up, I decided to get her an mp3 because her mini iPod died and she's a big music lover.

I found the perfect on in my price range. The Sansa by Sandisk. 2GB. It looks great and has amazing features that other mp3's lack.

more about it here: http://www.sandisk.com/Products/Item(1937)...Player_2GB.aspx

Even though it's just 2GB, there's a slot for an SD card for additional storage. it can go up to 8 GB I think.

HOWEVER:

Getting her the Sansa would be giving her an extra electronic to carry around. Her father bought her the Nokia N95, which cost like 600 dollars, so she might as well put it to good use. Currently, she has a 1 GB chip in it but it can go up to 8 GB. Should I just get her a microSD card with more storage? So she has like an mp3 and a phone in one thing? I'm leaning towards this but the Sansa looks like such a great mp3 player. But, the microSD is cheaper. There's a 4GB bundle on Amazon for like 50 bucks.

Which one would you prefer?

My friend has that Sansa, works pretty well while it lasts, remember though. You get what you pay for.

the sansa is a pretty decent player for what you're paying. but don't let the package fool you-it's pretty damn ugly. laugh.gif

Consider throwing in a couple extra dollars and get an iRiver Clix Gen 2.
