on average, how long does it take you to photoshop something? anything. so basically...the average time you spend on photoshop. :]

i spend about an hour photoshopping on the weekdays, and anywhere from 0 to 12 hours on the weekends. =D
digitalfragrance
I usually spend 2 hours or less a day... depending on how much I'm procrastinating.

For the weekend as a whole... 4 hours.
arcanum
I tend to spend more time working on something during the week, rather than the weekend.
Weekdays - Could be anywhere from 6-10 hours, and Weekends - 2-4 hours at the most.
S-Majere
I love my Photoshop, so I tend to have about 4 hours per weekday and around 6 or 7 for weekends.

Usually nothing ever comes of all this time, but occasionally I make a lucky mistake.
freeflow
None on the weekdays an hour on the weekends since I usually work.
technicolour
Days I work: None
Days I don't work: Eh, maybe 1-2 hours
Weekends: Depends, due to homework & work. Maybe 1-2 on the weekend too?

Meh. I don't have time anymore. =(
Stumbleine
Less than an hour. I want to get good at photoshop but I don't have the time. I have work.. Curse you God!
MissHygienic
If I were to give a figure on how many hours I spend having Photoshop running, it would be 1.5 hours. It'd take an hour for Photoshop to start up on my computer, and then I'll spend half an hour utilizing the program.
Jensen
It's always running. I have a dual-core processor, so the program does little to have open for me. I spend a lot of time cutting the eyes out of my of ex-girlfriends' faces.
IVIike
it really depends probably an our or less on weekdays and about 2-4 hours on weekends
michellerrific
uhhh did you forget 3 Hours on the weekend poll?!

It's kind of hard to measure for me. I change a couple pictures here and there. Sometimes I just open the program and try to make something only to find out I'm out of creativity. Or other times I have something specific to make (though that hasn't been happening at all lately).

I say 2hours for both slots.

Who could spend 12+ hours on it in one day?... That is the definition of "Get a life!"
austinoutloud
Oddly enough, I'd say the time I spend on Photoshop is about the same for both weekends and weekdays. Probably around 3-4 hours. I haven't made much of anything for a while though.
digitalfragrance
Now that almost all of my classes involve Photoshop... i'm spending TONS of time on it a day... like 6-8 hours.

uh, people who are graphic designers as their careers plus workaholics? =D
miyashu
I'll spend 7+ hours on a design/layout.

Of course, I'm not sitting on my ass for 7+ hours straight. I have bathroom breaks! :O

I usually work better when it's late at night, after I've finished doing all those obligatory daily things.

There was one day I did that *shudders*... definitely lost track of time. Don't worry, I ate... I just was on my laptop CONSTANTLY.

Will never spend that much time again.
Ever.

It depends if I am working on something important or something that I can take my time on. If it's something important, probably about 4 hours until it's finished (on the weekend) but otherwise I take my time or anything up to about 12 hours.
Insurmountable
average time overall, would probably be around 8-9 hours?

I've been using photoshop a lot lately.
superficial
It really depends. If I need it for school work, I'll spend as much time as I need to, but if it's just playing around with filters and etc, it would probably be 5-30 minutes at most. I only use photoshop if I'm 1) extremely bored (and I mean extremely), 2) I need it for a project, or 3) I'm helping my sister(s) make flyers for their school dances. But for weekdays: 5-25 minutes, and for weekends: probably around 10-45 minutes.

I actually use GIMP, but since its the exact same thing, just a freeware version, I'll vote.
vogueXdirge
On weekdays I usually get home, do my homework and then I spend the rest of my night on Photoshop and the internet at the same time.

On weekends it depends on my inspiration level and my creative flow. But I can spend hours and hours on it, and if I'm bored I just make icon after icon after icon after icon.

I just recently got into making banners and all that.

I have to say now that I have PS CS3 Ex. I'm a much happier person, it's like therapy!
