well i currently own Photoshop CS3 Extended
but i dont see the program Image ready anymore..
is there a way to create frames and make those
GIF. images animations on PSCS3???
or what happened with Image ready..do i have to
download it or buy it desperately ??

No, you can create several images on CS3, but then you'll have to transfer it to ImageReady in order to merge them together into a .gif. You know there are a lot of free programs out there that do this for you? You don't necessarily need ImageReady. I don't think it came with CS3 because when I got it, I didn't have that on my start list, either.
If you really want it, I suppose you can downgrade to CS2.

i solved my own problem
Yes you can make gif and animations frames only on PSCS3 Extended,
not photoshop CS3.

Oh, good. I don't create animations, so I never looked into the Extended part. Glad you solved it.

So the ability to make animations is only on CS3 Extended? And there isn't a separate program for it, it's within CS3 Extended?

yes only on CS3 extended i think not sure but i have extended so it has the feature. i dont know about CS3. but Imageready RIP 1998-2007. read this site for more info
Image ready RIPI just read something about CS3 and Extended diferences and it says that CS3 includes Basics on animation and Extended includes Advanced. take a look

im having the same problem... i have extended.
theres no problem in making the animation... but CS3 ext. doesnt have the "save optimized as" option
how do you save? =/

yea i was suprised too when i found out that cs3 didn't hav imageready so i simply downloaded cs2 again with imageready.

photoshop cs3 extended does have "imageready" in a sense. in order to get the animation bar, simply go Window>Animation.
& as for saving it, go File>Save for Web & Devices... it's the same thing as "save optimized as."
