funny story when it comes to them.
my mormon boyfriend at the time was like, "omg they are my favorrrrite band. i love them." i was like, huh, wtf?
he can't watch r rated movies or even swear so that was weird for him to be listening to the music. i said, "umm do you even realize what they sing about? or what the lyrics mean?"..
i played it and he said, oh wow.
idiots who don't understand lyrics piss me off

Yep those people who like the music just because it sounds good piss me off.
I listen to music because of the lyrics and what they mean.
But P!ATD is a good band for a band that too many people like, because usually I wouldn't like those kinds of bands.

They're okay. Sometimes I love them, sometimes I hate them.
I really don't mind people who listen to bands because they play good music though...Isn't music all about melody and rhythm first, lyrics second?

Their songs are so darn catchy. ^I agree with above, melody and rhythm first.

It goes "I'm excactly where you want me you know."
But what if it sounds good but you didn't know it contradicted everything you believed in?

I used to like Panic! At the Disco for a while, but I rarely listen to them now.
I hated it when the "I Write Sins, Not Tragedies" video wouldn't stop playing on MTV.

Yeah, they're working on new songs. They predicted a new album in February or March.

I'm a fan of Panic! I gotta say. I do listen to their lyrics and they are...interesting to say the least, haha but they do sound great too. At least, I think so. Saw them in concert last year or the year before, I forget exactly when, and they're really entertaining live. They put on a pretty good show.

Only 2 of their songs appeal to me.

Bands that have lyrics that don't make ANY sense are a big turn off. Ex. THE ALL-AMERICAN REJECTS

Haha if any of you all remmeber me when I was
Quarantine. I used to love Ryan Ross... which was forever ago. Eh, I liked them better when they were a garage band and when I could talk to Ryan without all these fan girls and crap. Meh, good band gone bad. :\ Hahaha I remember 4 years ago when Ryan used to blog how they're experience of recording demos and crap.
Gah, kinda sounds like i'm holding onto the past.

I love lyrics that don't make sense, but I love lyrics that don't make sense until you've heard the song like a million times and you finally get what the bad is trying to tell you. Ex:System Of A Down, mabye Tool.
Yeah Panic is pretty good, and I can't stand the overplayed indie artists.

I really enjoy Panic! at the Disco, because they offered a new taste of music with intricate and convoluted words that has prolific writers like me left breathless. Not to mention that they compose music overall very well. I haven't sung in five or six years, but believe it or not, this band helped me to start singing again, and I'm very grateful (:
It honestly shouldn't matter if an artist or a song is overplayed. We should all appreciate artists of any genre of music nonetheless, because they put their effort and heart into it. For instance, I loathe Flyleaf and Paramore with a fiery passion that is beyond comprehension, but I still respect the two artists for what they have done and do.
