Are there songs or artists you can't listen to because it reminds you too much about your ex's?

I can't listen to any indie band or gavin degraw for an ex that was so crazy mentally and I hate him . It kinda sucks because I enjoy gavin degraw once in awhile .

A lot of my ex's loved rap, so I guess I can't say that ruined any music for me. Thank god for me loving rock. My current boyfriend loves a lot of the same stuff as I do. So if he dumped me, I don't think that would ruin listening to certain songs or bands. I refuse to let anyone ruin my music enjoyment.
