Um, yeah. I've been wondering for a while if there was like a program out there that turns off the monitor on a laptop without shutting it down. I wanna leave me laptop overnight to download something and i wanna do that w/o using so much power....

u can try just dimming the screen. what kind of laptop?

Isn't there like a way to just put it on sleep? Or stand-by? Most laptops do that.

control panel -> power options
turn off monitor: after 1 min
thats what i do at night/leave the house
