Since everyone started to use Myspace as a way to communicate.

I thought when the whole thing went down last time that they had far better stats than we did, and with the release of their improved site, they'd own the shit out of us.
Nicki?
is that why you're back?

I think it was DYING OUT, but it wasn't completely gone. It was more on the backburner for a few months.
I went there yesterday, and I'm fairly certain it's over.

No, it died ages ago. It was barely hanging on for a little while, but no really.
And no, it isn't why I'm back. I stopped going to BR several months before I started visiting here again. Really, I just came back here because I get bored when I have time between classes, but not actually enough time to get anything done. It's active here, so I couldn't help but post.
Speaking of between classes, it actually rained a lot today, and yet my arm is inexplicably sunburnt from walking to classes?
Oh, and as far as the stats go, they were high because Mic put effort into getting them that way, but he refused to put effort into improving the community because he preferred to scare off the active members because he didn't like a lot of them from past drama. But it means nothing to have a lot of people visiting the site if no one is actually frequenting and keeping the boards moving, and those who do merely drive-by post, because there aren't enough people for conversations anymore. Plus the "new site" was thoroughly unimpressive. In fact, I'd forgotten it had been updated.

What was the downfall? Mic's plan to make it better and far more superior to cB, like he claimed it was?

It was just a bunch of little things. He'd had past drama with people, and it came to a head when he spontaneously deleted one of the active secret societies, then refused to put it back, while making up all sorts of lies about it for months. It's actually back now, but no one posts because they all left because he killed it. Like, he really can't say that he was trying to test something on an active SS when there are about 10 inactive ones, and then restore it several months later without changing a thing. He obviously did it because he didn't like the people. But so yeah, I had a bunch of arguments with him about how if he doesn't keep members it won't be active, and then no one else will join and post, but he refused to believe me and thus chased them all away, claiming that he didn't need them and new members would come. But of course, I was right, and they haven't.

Haha. I still remember him ranting and raving about how great their new site was going to be with new and improved everything. He even once told me that they were to be better than cB because cB was just comprised of silly Invsion Power Board hacks, and that was what generally made up the site. Looking now, they did the exact same thing with whatever forum system they use. Mic even talked about how much time and money he had put forth to make it better. Funny that he paid for the place to rot.

Oh, always. BR looks much more generic than cB anyway.
The-Mach-Hare
Oct 19 2007, 02:11 PM
When they were putting the new BR together, I posted that it looked a lot like the new cB that was released around that time. Some things leas to another and it was cB that copied BR or something. I don't remember, but it's good to see them go.
As far as the new overall look, it just turned out terrible, and to think, Mic put down "a lot of money".

Mic probably banned everyone who was capable of being funny off the boards.
Mic is the reincarnated version of Hitler.
Except Hitler probably had more mercy and humor then him..
If only the original creator of BR didnt sell it to him then it probably still be flowing with members.
