Question. Did staff really needed another Head Staff, and that's such a big promotion from OM to Head Staff. I know she recently stepped down as Admin, but shouldn't she have to work herself back up there like everyone else, say start from Design Staff? Just curious.

That is the rule, but I mean I would say something, but of course it would be leaking backstage info, but it would help the situation and any questions of that sort.

Well I guess, but I really doubt someone being on staff would stop them from communicating with Jusun on aim or through PM's.

It doesn't always work like that, although I totally understand why you would be curious.

Many factors can go into a decision like this. With Trish, she is working on high level stuff with Jusun both with the night time skin and with the cB wiki. With that in mind and with the fact that she left her administrator position barely a week ago, it felt like a good decision to go ahead and promote her to Head Staff. If she had left for like 6 months or so and came back, it would be an entirely different scenario.

As far as needing an additional Head Staffer, I believe we do. Ideally we have 3 administrators and 4 head staff members. That is how it was before the wave of step downs last weekend.

Typically the People/Design - Head Staff - Administrator is the flow. However, there have been exceptions, usually depending on the staff at the time, whether or not people in a position to move up, want to move up, for example. Last year Suzzette was promoted from mentor to Head Staff. This year I was promoted from mentor to Administrator. It really depends on the situation.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Sarah (S-Majere) has been promoted to Administrator. She was on vacation for a month, but prior to that she was very active, contributed a great deal (FIFTY FIVE LAYOUTS?!) and is always a pleasure to communicate with. She has already jumped right back in, both in the forums and in Feedback (as well as Backstage design related discussions).

We wanted to give her a bit of time to get settled before promoting her, but after chatting a bit with her and with a new hiring session in the works, we went ahead and decided to promote her this evening.
