i've got a lot of stuff going on right now, and so i don't think it's best for me to be on staff, it's just kinda adding to things. even if i stayed on staff and said i was on break, i'd be too tempted to do stuff. so i don't think that would really reduce any stress or anything for me, that's my reasoning there for anyone who is like wtf why leave staff for half a month when u could stay. so yeah, in a couple weeks i'll see if everything is evened out.

i took breaks like this when i was on staff the first time, in 2004. i had myself demoted with backstage privileges (this was before the mentor rank was made).

anyway i did discuss with jc the possibility of returning as a mentor but this is something that he is going to think about on his break.
