LOL Yeah. I was on People Staff and at the time it was still when we had Xanga Staff, LJ Staff, etc, and Design Staff was a step above it all. I never fit in with the Xanga/Myspace/LJ Staff, but I sure know how to do the misc things. Haha.
And, uh, Mike. Yes, I remember hosting a vexel/vector contest, but, uh, honestly, I don't remember. That was an awful long time ago. Heh. But we need to do another one of those contests! And Mike, has your UN always been Anarchy? Or have you had others.
I remember that! I remember your vexel/vector contest too.
Congrats to the new design staff & it's glad to see that I recognise most of the names that are on staff. : )

I am pleased to announce that Michael (mipadi) has accepted a new position "Tech Support."
The role, for lack of a better word is still somewhat a work in progress. What I sort of invision is Michael helping out with the more the more tech side of the forums (and admin cp). I'm also hoping that once Jusun returns, he will have similar trust in Michael (since he has so much experience) as he had in Trish and perhaps the two can work together to get some of the background things that typical administrators cannot work on.
Also, because this is an area he is gifted (and educated) in, he could possibly see things that administrators might have overlooked.
It's all for making cB the best we can make it with the resources we have, and I believe that Michael is one that can really help out eventually.
What tech support isn't, is a typical moderator. He will not be responsible for closing/opening threads, warning members, that sort of thing.

As I said in a PM, Congrats Michael. I'm glad to see you back, even if you aren't a regular mod. I believe you are the better person for this type of position and I hope things go well, if you need any help feel free to ask.

But excited about this!

congrats mipadi for joining the dark side.
damn, I guess this is gonna get hard.
Heh.
This is something I wanted done a long time ago, but when I brought up the idea, you f****ts just ignored it.
Guess what though. I'm not a bug in the software. You're not going to fix the problem by having mipadi write scripts to delete my spam. You're treating the symptoms but not finding the cure.
You're not going to be able to ignore this. Take responsibility for your mistakes instead of hiding.
See you later, going to make another account.

The tech support idea that was shot down before was for Josh to be somehow added to staff. This is nothing personal against him, but honestly if we're going to give someone admin rights I would much prefer that it was someone we could trust and not someone who had the history he did with randomly insulting people.
Also, the reason it was brought up was so he could answer CB tracker questions, which I pointed out that I and others were perfectly capable of doing. Then was the debate over who was more qualified (Josh or me), how my qualifications were more hardware-oriented which is crazy (and not true), and all of this was pointless because all I was trying to say was that the position wasn't necessary.
But those are technicalities, the main thing that makes this different is that Michael has a great history with CB, has consistently been responsible, and has always been extremely helpful despite not always having a lot of time around here. In my opinion he's perfect for the position.

1) I believe my punishment was for only a month. 2) There is no rule that states upon returning to staff after being suspended, you must claim a position on staff one level lower than the position you were at before suspended. 3) The only other head staffer was Cristy.
I don't believe I needed anybody's support to return to the position I was at before I was suspended.
Some time earlier this evening.
Well shouldn't you have to work your way back up the staff ladder like anybody else does? If that was the case, they could have promoted a People Staffer or Design Staff to Head Staff.

no i don't necessarily think so 100%.
but, no i don't really have much objection that thomas was put back on the position he earned the first time. had the situation been different...i probably would feel different. to me though it's a situation where he stepped up to his mistake, took his punishment and came back. that's just how i feel about it

So wait wait wait, HAMMER TIME! No but seriously, this is serious shit guys. So let me make sure I have my story straight, ThomasCunningham gave tung backstage info about a month ago, yes? HS suspension yes? No one really likes Thomas as a mod yes? Not that he's a bad person, no. Just bad at staff, yes. If anyone's a good candidate for Head Staff, I would like to add in that it would in fact be none other than yours truly. You see, I've been around the block

, ya "dig"? Anyway, as I've said in the past, cb doesn't need staff. Is there really that big of an issue that y'all need to give AUTHORITAY to someone else? Isn't y'alls only issue dealing with the queue? I mean, the CC isn't exactly running rampart, all that those fa
ggots ever do in there is warn me for not thumbing an image or tell me to be nice or something stupid like that.
Yup.
In conclusion. Thomas shouldn't be head staff. I have a big penis. Mods are dumb.
