So, I am mulling over whether or not to legally go after Suzzette and / or her parents for her actions three days ago. Before I do, I'd like to know as much background information on this matter, from the events leading up to her dumping out everything on the forums, to her motives behind her actions. If you have any information, please post here. If you have chat logs with her leading up to this event, posts them here as well.

This is not a bashing thread, so please refrain from bashing her. I am doing this so that I can present my case to a lawyer with as much information as possible.

I have logs all from that day though if you would like em' Although I do not have any from talking to her that she was saying she was going to do something like this. No one talked to her after the Suzy Q's went out.

Just wondering, what would you sue her for (like, the legal heading, i.e. destruction of property, etc) and what type of losses would you seek?

It depends. Jusun, did you write a TOS or a user agreement saying that she can't do that? It could be very hard to do anything to her if you didn't make her agree or at least read it and hit "I've read" or w/e. I don't know though. I assume you would pursue her with the case of destruction of intellectual property.


Anyways. I believe I, amongst others, were catalysts in the "explosion", if you will. We did not like at all the way staff was handling things, especially Suzzette. I won't bring in our feelings towards her in this, but basically we all left staff and "exposed" her including aim logs and the whole nine yards. She started spending less and less time on createBlog which she attributed to a job and real life activities. No one slowed down in the bashing of her (at least the primary aggressors). One morning, I logged on, and about 30 minutes later I was banned and the previous page had Suzzette on the front of the most recently active and then before you know it everything was gone.

Yeah, I thought so, too :/

Oh man...I had a bunch of PMs of her saying like, "They better calm down" or like, "I could do so much" and stuff like that...like whole conversations, but all my PMs are gone now.

So, is this chat going down?

Well since this effected many of us, can't the public get to know what went down as well?

I agree with Kara. Having a chat to discuss the details (rather than informing everyone the summary) is better. If you really want / need an explanation, then leaving it on the site is fine.

Okay - So maybe we could save people who do not know of the situation
the trouble of asking someone else by just clearly typing a well manured summary of what happened. I'd really like to be informed, and I'm sure others would as well. If you get what I mean.

I really think there should be a sticky at the top of every forum saying what happened. I don't know how many times I've typed a summary of what's happened, but it's been a lot.

As much as I disliked her tenure here, I think there should be some mercy here. It's almost funny that it's come down to this considering my "persona" against her was based on a lawyer. Poetic Justice (no pun intended).

On one hand, she definitely has it coming to her. On the other hand, I'd hate to see someone's life potentially ruined because of some internet drama.

If you do intend to pursue legal action, at least offer some sort of settlement, maybe equal to the wage hours you lost restoring the site?

Other than that, I have nothing really to contribute.

I read your response and honestly it did not answer my question. You speak of the staff stepping down etc, you speak of AIM logs, but what has that had to do anything? Did someone do anything particular to her? I'm sorry I missed this catastrophe but I was affected by it and I'd like to know what went down.

well, I think that Jusun would want to keep the chat to only the people that had contact with Suzzette during/before she went on her closing/banning/deleting spree.

But, perhaps a general summary to the members should be posted so we can all gain an understanding of the situation.
