Wow both scared the shit out of me with the close ups of their eyes. reminded me alot of the grudge. But they are really both beautiful. I would really have to say Raven_night's pics, the gold eyebrow shadower or w/e, really threw it off. And Angie looks naked in her pic, and her make up and how she has it on, really was smooth. So my vote goes to Angie by two miles.

i have to go with angie's, even though I feel that angie uses the same style over and over again. not to mention that the lips did not work with the eyes.
why? because the gold/silver brows just did not work for me. and i would've liked to see a full on frontal shot of raven_night's because the first one, taken like a myspace picture, I can't see the details for the eyes. and the second one, i can't see the other side of the face. the black eyeliner used as dots, just made me think of beauty marks.

I have more images of hers, I just posted up two b/c Angie has only two pictures. I'll post them up. ^_^

As a suggestion for all future cB Makeup contests, I think contestants should look at mac_cosmetics@livejournal, spectra.net, and makeupalley.com to look at angles for makeup photo taking.

After the hair contest was over, I was hoping we could do an overall stylist competition, where each round would be something different like 1. outfit styling 2. make-up 3. hair 4. taking clothes from random online stores and creating an outfit 5. print design, etc.

this is depressing.

angie needs to lay off the frost. yan lin is right, the lips definitely do not work with the eyes (a burgundy color would have been better) and it just seems like she's doing the same thing over and over again.

raven_night - application is terrible and colors clash. what were you thinking when you did your brows? color is inconsistent on lips, and the dots near the eyes could be better done with liquid liner.

Anyways, Raven_Night's has definitely improved from the other pictures, but it's a bit too much. Watch some videos or read some tutorials on blending. It looks like you took a Crayola and scribbled on your face.

Angie's eyes look gorgeous but as some others said above, there's too much frost, especially on the under eye. I would've gone for a more neutral lip with such dramatic eyes.

My comments:

Angie - what someone else said... "cut out the frosting" or something. Your eyes are spectacular, but try using more liquid based things to bring out the dots or little details. If you do a ton of detail-work, it's important that it stands out and doesn't fade into the rest of the make-up so that it gets appreciated. :]

Raven_Night - I thought your make-up was very interesting. The gold part looked very cool, in my opinion, but the overall make-up did not have a professional touch to it. The lips did not match at all. If you had worked with a metal / hard black &white, that would have been VERY awesome to see.

BTW, b/c I'm not a mod anymore, this contest is discontinued until a mod takes over. ^_^

Raven_Night - You're entry is very colorful but I have to say, lay off on the brows! Never mix make up with you're brows, IMO
But I really liked the dots you made beside your eye.

lidoxangie - A little too much glitter? I like the winged eyes though. The lips are a little too nude.

I think go for something really cutesey (pastel pinks & white), but smear the lips a tad and have the eyeliner somewhat sweaty and messed-up, and add blood. :]

i'm defo not going to do the makeup that girl has on. and i'm not really an eyeliner girl, so i might do something else.

Can you not jump to conclusions so quickly? She had strong submissions all throughout the contest. Just because her last one was not done well, doesn't give you the right to question her like that.
