This is the easiest tutorial, I think, by far.

If you dont understand it, let me break it down.

Open your image first.

Now, go over to your toolbars, and select the image mapping tool.

Now, go over to your image, and select (click down over area) of which you want image mapped.

Now, go over to the image map window (if it is not visible, go to the top tabs, click on window>imagemap

Now, where it says "url" paste in the url wanted, also type in your alt. (alt = the text that will appear when hovered over)

Okay, when you are all done imagemapping all the links, go to the top tabs, and choose "edit" "copy html code" and "for all slices" This will automatically copy the codes into your clipboard. Just paste it.

Oh, remember to change the <img src="something.jpg"> to a valid image url.

thank you but i have another question...

now i did all of that then i went to edit>copy html code>for all slices

then i save it as a psd, but if i want to upload it, it wont work as a psd. file type

so i opened it to photoshop and saved it as a jpeg file. but when i uploaded it to tinypic.com, all the links went away...

what did i do wrong and what am i suppose to do.

I don't think image maps work well with jpeg file types. Try re-saving it as a GIF file.
Relentless
^ Image map works with .jpg files.

Did you put the IMAGE URL where it suppose to be in the HTML notepad? If you're still having problems use this...

It's easy and compatible if you're using 1 image.

Oh wait, this is sliced images + image mapping. lol.

Based on Angie (SinfullySweet), you copied the HTML on a notepad or whatever.

Then go to you're photoshop (On the right panel, you can choose it to be .jpg / .gif / .png, either of them will work), and I believe you go File -> Save Optimized As... Then you find all the seperate images in the "images" folder where it was saved at.

Upload those images and paste the URL image onto where its needed on the notepad. It tells you where to put it since it has a name location.
