I am a Nintendo fanatic and I think the GameCube has the best variety of games right now. All PS2 and Xbox have are First Person Shooters and Role-Playing games. Nintendo has all the classic character most of us grew up with. Mario, Link (from Legend of Zelda), Samus Aran (from Metroid), Donkey Kong and Nintendo owns Pokemon. What do you think?

1. Nintendos disk storage is HORRIBLE, they use 60mm disk identical to the upcoming Playstation Portable, and i bet it only has 1.8, which they also use compressing technology to make it 2 to 2.5 gigs, but u gotta compress the crap out of it.
2.This produces alot of bad effects, grahpics are subpar, features in games, this sums it up the features include music,levels,characters stuff like that compare nit 2 tony hawk 3 GC version: they lsoe like 2 lvls and like 2 secret chars
PS2 version:normal everything intact XBOX version: everytyhing wuith even bettter graphics and a new lvl

Plus gamecube does not have any online plans, You can get a network adapter but damn u gotta go order online or u can enver find one
plus the only online game (or atleast i think this is the only online game) is Phantasy star online, Which 2 play properly u need the foloowing acessorys
1.network adapter
2.keybord 2 play
3.game
4.member id
5.monthly fees
that adds up 2 like 200 dollers im mean cmon WTF

Then theres the controler, that stupid controls, it sucks its unbalanced on the right side, with the z and the right trigger
sure the control may look neat with the button next to the b and a but they really do suck and are a pain in the ass

IMHO, gamecube is better than the other 3 consoles. It beats playstation in horsepower and Xbox in quality of games. I buy Nintendo because the games released on their consoles have the best gameplay, period. Xbox and PS2 can't deliver this. Nintendo has the best exclusive games. And best of all, Gamecube has the most bang for the buck at only $99.

Online play: Have you ever heard of warp pipe? And stop complaining, for PS2 you need all of that and more. Lets see, for FFXIXIXIXIXIASIFASDIFASIDF (I stopped counting when the games started getting bad, which is about V i believe)...

That's a lot of money.

The controller is arguably the best out of all three. I've never had any problems with the control config, none of my friends have either, maybe it's because you're not very good at nintendo games, which have a higher level of gameplay than mindless killing. The PS2 controller isn't bad, just sometimes, it malfunctions (it's happened with several of my friends controllers). The XBOX controller just sucks (the original one, which most people have). Much of the surface area is taken up by the big XBOX gem in the middle, compliments of microsoft. They tried to copy the dreamcast controller (IMO, in the top 3 for best controller) and failed miserably.

Now let me get into reasons why PS2 and XBOX aren't so great.

PS2 was rushed, so the technology isn't up to par. XBOX doesn't have the software companies to support them like Nintendo and Sony do. PS2 is basically being carried by the Final Fantasy series. This is trouble considering Square was pretty much forced to merge with Enix after their horrible Final Fantasy movie. Plus, square isn't exclusively with Playstation anymore, we're seing FF come out on GBA as well. Game companies for xbox and PS2 are losing money because mod chips and media for games are widely available. This is where gamecube's disc size helps. Harder to pirate, meaning more money goes to the developers, meaning they can continue to develop high quality games in the future. This is one reason why the Dreamcast went under, the lack of copy protection severely hurt their profits.


Well that was fun, hopefully I've convinced a few people that gamecube is not a terrible console, and if not, i'd like to hear some feedback.

I would choose PC, although I don't consider it a true video game console. The best would have to be either the Sega Dreamcast or the Super Nintendo.

XBOX is the best its got the best graphics out there. Mostly all those on the list i own except gamecube. I dont like that system. Xbox is better cause one thing its got a harddrive to save games n music n other files. My PS2 takes longer on saving games n the memory cards are small in capcity size. I like my XBOX better. PS2 is good to but not that much. Just one advantage PS2 has that the console it smaller n the controllers are the perfect fit for anyones hands other than XBOX its so big n the console is big too.

Don't computers have better graphics than XBOX? Faster Hard drive load times too! If I ever got an xbox, i would mod it. The stock XBOX is terrible. But by installing linux on it, you get a 733 mhz computer for $170. But otherwise, Xbox is useless, your money is better used in a pc upgrade than buying an xbox.

Halo for pc > Halo for xbox

I'll have to go with you on this one. I <3 my XBOX. The fps games they have are great. I loved Halo and Brute Force.

They really could use some better controllers tho.

I also love my GameCube. I like how its so compact and the controllers are perfect! The graphics are nice too... just not as many fps games as on the XBOX or PS2. But they've got Mario games (only reason I got a GameCube in the first place).

The most successful xbox games are FPS. But I think the FPS genre plays best on the PC. It would be a better idea to build/upgrade your computer for higher performance.

I love Gamecube, though I don't own it, I still love it. It's fun and plus more people can play. Making it a party console.. and I love to party.

I like My PC, but at the same time my pc costed alot of money...Alot more then $200.... I really love my xbox though... I like the gaming they have and I love Xbox live...

I love my gamecube. It's such a great mulitplayer console. Whenver there's a party in any of my friend's house, Super smash bros. is a must. I also like the wrestlemania series on the GC.

Gamecube sucks as of now, all it has is older games. Its very child orinated, Gamecube was designed for the younger kids. So all the games are cartoonish....besides Resident Evil and Wrestling, all ya get is corny cartoon games.

Xbox is probably the best, just cause it has a Steel Battalion hook up and the graphics are a lot better. Plus the hard drive.

PS2 is also pretty good but they're slowing down on game making for PS2, lot of bad games coming out.

Still best is Computer.....you can play anything with a computer(providing you have a decent one) and computer graphics destroy Xbox graphics. All about da comp yo.

Woah, that's definitely incorrect. There are a large assortment of adult games on the GC that'll keep me satisified. Football, street basket, Def jam, soul caliber, etc. I'd say most of the games are not child orienated.

It's definitely the PC. The PC is the most versatile and flexible of all gaming systems, and has graphics that totally blow everything else away.

Whoa, way off. Nintendo continues to make innovations in the gaming industry. It's not child oriented at all. But I guess if a game doesn't involve millions of people exploding into pools of blood, it's child oriented right? You try to make it sound like you're too cool for nintendo games, but I bet you would have a hard time beating a game with a complex storyline and higher level of gameplay than mindless killing. The ps2 i think is da best b/c it has the most variety of games from rpg, fps, and alot more. I guess i got hooked on DDR on ps2 so im a bit biased.

my favriote system is the ps2 but i like my xbox but not to many good games are coming out for both systems so i just stay on xanga...im waiting for Halo 2, Final Fantasy 11, and Smackdown Raw vs Smackdown

I like PS2, but I don't necesarily hate any certain system. I like all the systems for various reasons. I am looking to mod my Xbox as soon as I get the money to do so.

me too i agree here. plus games played on a super fast PC (i.e. high-res monitor, fastest cpu and video card etc.) just look so much better than game consoles, i.e. Far Cry. game consoles win though in the area of variety and quantity of games.

I love my Gamecube. =] I don't think it's for kiddies, as some people say it. It's a very good system to have when you have 3 brothers.

I have, most of them aren't hard. We own a Gamecube...well we did till my brother sold it.

The only decent game on Gamecube was Zelda. If you wanna play Metroid, get a gameboy its more fun on there. The rest of the games they have are "All Console" games. N64 was awesome, thats when Nintendo made better games....now they seem to be focussing on games like Harvest Moon.

Still computers are the best cause you don't have to buy stuff to play online. You can upgrade your games by downloading new customs. Providing you have a decent graphics card, the graphics rip apart even the best Xbox(xbox being the best system with graphics) games. Nothing will ever beat the PC.



Now to the second quote. I enjoy how all the games he gave as an example are also avilable on Xbox and PS2. Soul Caliber started on PS2. And any sport game is an all system game.

I actually dont believe in fanboys and losers like that, i like nintendo, but i didnt like the gamecube for a certain reason, Computers are probably abetter then nintendo ps2 and xbox combined.
I think microsoft and sony should just stop and make computers cause alot of games for their consoles are actually on the PC
and Nintendo should stop trying to be high tech and stuff and go back to the portable gaming and mulitplayer funfest. (i loved my wrestling, and zelda and starfox and many more other games for multiplayer on my 64)

The bottom line is that the console industry is GROWING at an incredible rate. Sure, the PC is better than a PS2 on any day of the week, but Id prefer to play my console games, with my console controllers, on my console monitor (TV). Where else could I play all day and night? Where else could I bring my games to my friends place so that we can play together? Where else can I bring my PORTABLE hardware to any place at any time just to drop a few kids in Soul Calibur? On a computer? Generally, no.

Time Splitters 2 on the GC, excellent game, MUCH better than Halo with the multiplayer.

the only thing good about an xbox is the fact that is has halo1 and soon to have halo2

gamecubes controllers suck and so do xbox's controllers
gamecube ones are way too small and xbox is the exact opposite...jumbo

playstation and playstation 2 have perfect controllers

gamecube cannot play dvds or cd just games
xbox can play dvds but you need to buy a 40 dollar remote just to do that
playstation2 can play both cds and dvds..and you can buy a remote for 10 bux or use the controller..either way it still works out

so with all that...i shall say that ps2 rocks!!
