With Evan Rachel Wood
I know there are topics about this, but they are closed for some reason.
I just saw it because it came on Lifetime, and it was really depressing. The girl was just out of control, and doing all these horrible things to her body. Plus that stupid friend of hers was NO help at all..
What did you think of it?

I thought it was depressing, as well. I also thought it portrayed the teenage years very badly. o_0

I know some people that love that movie, but I'm not too sure why. It's weird to think that she was so young when she wrote it and that it was "based" on true events.

^At the end her "friend" Evie sells her out to her mom about the drugs, and the cutting
and Evie acts like everything was Tracy's fault then leaves town with her stupid older cousin.
The ending just left me feeling distressed and confused b/c honestly, thirteen year olds don't do that.

Eh yea I agree completely. I'm sorry I may have been like over protected but when I was 13 I never knew what any of those drugs were or what they looked like or did I ever have depressing thoughts like that. O_O and I was pretty smart on who to hang out with and who not to hang out with of course.
Lol, but yea their playing this movie a lot of lifetime. I find it odd yet funny. My friend Matt was over the other day and we were watching it while playing yahtzee and I had to ask them what they were doing in one scene xD

i thought the movie portrayed the age of thirteen pretty well.
to be honest at thirteen people were doing everything that was in that movie in my area.
i've had my encounters..
it deffinetly doesn't get that out of hand as it did in the movie though.

They definately exaggerate what teens do a tad in that movie. Either that or they bring out the worst in teenagers. I really liked the movie, it definately taught me a thing or two about the world and how cruel people can be.

I can't imagine that you'd be able to get the full idea of it from a lifetime showing

The movie's points are emphasized by its harshness, and that kind of shit isn't exactly considered acceptable on basic cable. I'm really surprised that it'd be shown anywhere besides a movie channel.
But I thought it was really good. Sure, my life wasn't like that when I was thirteen, but I can't say I don't know people whose weren't too far off.

A realistic life for maybe a 13 year old shithead crackhead whore.
But i found it a really overdramatic piece of crap.

i couldn't really relate to "thirteen"
the first time i watched i was about 14 and i kept saying to myself "i never did shit like that"
but i think it's an okay movie, i hope it doesnt reflect the lives of many 13 year olds, cuz that's kinda sad.
plus, i hated the ending.
