the picture is really cool but the banner is kinda off in alignment (move it a `lil up and left) .. and I dont really like how it just cuts off and the blog starts but thats just me and the grid on her face is kinda eh-eh lol dunno if you really understood any of that

it'd be nice if u moved the banner up a little but all and all its fine the way it is. =]

I agree, it'll look better if your banner was a little up and to the left. And maybe you can erase or lower the opacity of the bottom part of the banner (the part near the blog). So that it blends in with the blog BG. Or at least put a border around your banner.

oh its easy. when it asks for the margin-top and margin-left, make sure you put a negative number.

wow i love ur banner! its so beautiful! now for some critiquing. mhmm the contrast between the banner and the blog is really very sharp but ur banner has a beautiful soft feeling. so i would maybe...continue with some more of the banner at the top of where the blog lays and have them interfuse. so they kinda...flow together. that or add something in the spaces between the blog columns. and ur blog section is also very...boxy i guess. so maybe add some gradients or a background? i dunno
