I just baught it yesterday and I love it.
I recomend getting it.
The only downfall is that, yes the screen is tiny. But it is still visible.
It fits in the palm of your hand. Its like holding a ipod mini thats like cut in half.
I douno just my opinion.

Eh.. I held it when I went to the apple store. Personally, I don't like it. I posted this on another forum but I'll put it back here:

The good:
1. Video - Hey, you can finally watch videos.. on your nano. Although people have told me that you can hack the older one(s) and watch video on it. Hmm..
2. New menu interface - Oohh background. Instead of all white
3. Screen quality - Hey, with higher brightness and and image quality is sleeker
4. The Front - it's dull, thus allowing people to grip it more easily. It sucks to hold it and then suddenly have it slip out of your hand -- so some people might like the front case. At least it will scratch less (or even none at all).
5. Price drop - Yep, it's good that you all waited, right? Those who always wanted an iPod nano but couldn't fork over the moneys, now it's cheaper!

The bad:
1. Wider - I, along with some other people, much prefer the vertical rectangle as opposed to a.. square. Some say it fits better in your palm if it's wider, but it fits better for me if it's longer.
2. Video - Why in god's/buddha's/allah's/whoever's name would you watch video on the tiny thing? I mean I though it was cool that I have video clips on my phone, but even so it's still too small. It's worse with 16:9 video, since the screen is for 4:3 ratio video.
3. the BACK - They reverted back to the original iPod nano 1G design by having that mirror back. It gets scratched so easily. When I came back from Hawaii and saw the new iPod nano 3G at the apple store, it was already SOOOOO scratched up on the back. it looks worse than my black iPod 1G. It was a bad design to begin with.
4. the FRONT - It's not as sleek as the 1G or the 2G. Albeit the 1G iPod got scratched much mor easily due to the high gloss during moderate usage, it was still cool. The 2G hardly even gets scratched, with its casing paying homage to the ancient iPod Mini.
5. Screwed - yea, those who bought the iPod nano 2G are kinda screwed. But not as bad as the iPod 1G people! Man, apple just keeps milking us of our moneys!


BUT that's just my opinion...

I got the blue one last Wednesday. The video's are really clear for me. The only thing is that it's so thin and I feel like I'm going to break it any minute. For some reason, when I play the iQuiz on it, it turns off by itself a lot.

I don't like the way it looks, and I personally think that $200 is a lot for 8gigs.

Its acutally pretty strong, I've tried to bend it with about 20lbs of pressure. Doesnt even budge.

Really? I play iquiz all the time and it never turns off for me.

They haven't made any yet. They've only made a armband strap so far.

I can see the screen perfectly siting up straight looking at it on the desk. It's about 1_1/2 feet away from eye to the screen.

The plastic thing behind the ipod is the holder that came with the ipod. So i can protect the back from scratching till I can get the case when they come out with it. Its a mirror back.

I'm suprised its not that much either.
Just one problem, my video ipod (non-nano) always freezes, then since this is a "smaller" version, won't it freeze even more?
Anyway, I LOVE the new colors. I either want a green or blue

BTW I got the iPod 2G with my MacBook. it was awesome because not only did I save $100, get a free iPod nano, but I also only paid $83 for AppleCare 3-yr warranty!

eh i dont like it...my friend brought his to class and i held it and watched the MV's. nothing great.

eh, get an iRiver Clix or a Zen V Plus. Bigger screens and better support for every OS and supports more file types.

I saw it in the store, and my first thought was "ugly, do not want".

I am thinking that the screen on the NEW ipod nano is the same size as the video cause after-all the nano does have the same width as the ipod video

it says on the back of it "4GB" when there is only "3.6 GB's" ON IT!!

I just got it from a friend's party.. and it's actually pretty good. Except for the fact that it has a mirrorback. I already have fingerprints and scratches, it's so annoying. I'm acting so careful when I hold it, which is.. uncomfortable but I don't want that side to be like.. ugly? I wish Apple didn't have any mirrorback-iPods.
