i LOVE jacob! honestly, it's edward that annoys me sometimes. he's almost too perfect to be desirable. not to say i'm not totally in love with him - I AM. i just think jacob gives bella more freedom and he doesn't baby her. i suppose edward babies her because he's seen such horrible things. jacob annoys me sometimes as well though.

favourite part: when jacob is keeping bella warm in the tent. poor edward.

PERSONALLY, I love them both. But Jacob is more type, while Edward is so... there. All the time. Almost stalker-esque. I think I've been converted from hardcore Edward fan into Jacob lover extraordinaire.

You're right; Jake was a jerk in Eclipse. The epilogue made me fairly upset though. The way Leah wouldn't leave him alone. If I wanted to hit anyone the entire book, its her.

To be honest, I will be a bit upset if Bella ends up with Jake; Just because Edward and her are so meant to be together, while she and Jacob don't really "mesh". Ya know?

I've always rooted for Edward, but Jacob has his moments as well.

I think she would have gone for him if she had never met Edward. As long as Edward is in the picture/a part of Bella's life in some way, Bella would have gone for him no matter who she had met first.

He's perfect for Jacob. And I love Jacob. He almost seems like one of the most practical and sensible characters. Plus, he isn't annoying in the book!

I still think that regardless, Bella and Jake will always be the best of friends, even if from a distance. The thing is, Jake is just as risky, if not riskier for Bella than Edward is because he can imprint. Remember Sam and Emily? How much of a heart breaker would it be for Bella to be the "Leah"?

But Sam and Emily... that's true love, right there. And they know it. Anyone would be jealous, regardless of whether they got imprint-left for.

i almost wanted to skip over the professing of love parts in eclipse. it was excruciating to read it!
but i can definitely sympthasize with the two of them. i kinda have that dilemma right now with my bf and my best guy friend. i love my boyfriend but my best guy friend just confessed his love for me. unlike bella, i had feelings for my guy friend before i met my boyfriend. CRAZY.
i still don't know which one is my edward though... but i know one or the other will be hurt.

I'm gonna start with, I love both Jake and Edward. I'm all for the very tall, warm, tan guy with the sunny disposition though.
People here are hating on him saying that he's selfish to do what he does in Eclipse, but I think that if you were 16 or 17 (however old he is in the book at that point) you probably would react the same to keep the person that you'd attached yourself to so deeply. I would have said to hell with Edward...I love this person and I want them.

Although...you're right about him imprinting on someone else and leaving Bella out in the cold. That would suck a lot. I think he was lying about imprinting on her though. She seems just as attached to Jacob as he is to her, but she's like crazy in love with Edward so in the end...or what has been the end so far, Edward seems to have won.

The Edward/Jacob fight has been going on in my apartment since I forced my roommate to sit down and read the books, which she did in two days. Of course when she decided that she didn't like Jacob she skimmed over most of New Moon and parts of Eclipse...which pissed me off, but that's nothing new. She always calls me the Dog-Lover and is so damn mean about it, but I point back at her and call her the Undead-Lover...and she rolls her eyes. Its a battle, I tell you. I'm for Edward with Bella though...I'll gladly take Jacob if she doesn't want him.

I started changing sides during Eclipse when Jake started telling Bella that he loved her OVER AND OVER again... So... I'm confused ! I want Bella to end up with Edward though... MY happy story for Breaking Dawn is if:

3)Edward changes Bella
4)Jacob imprints on someone besides Bella
and
4)They all live happily ever after
