I have seen tons of commercials on this new show and it seems very interesting. I still can't believe no one has made a topic about this show yet!
QUOTE
Grown up Ned (Lee Pace) puts his talent to good use by touching dead fruit and making it ripe with everlasting flavor. He opens a pie shop. But his gift leaves him wary of becoming close to anyone, as beautiful waitress Olive Snook (Kristin Chenoweth) finds out. His life as a pie maker gets more complicated when private investigator Emerson Cod (Chi McBride) finds out about Ned's secret. Emerson convinces the cash-strapped Ned to help him solve murder cases (and collect the hefty reward fees) by raising the dead and getting them to name their killers.
Then Ned is handed the case that changes his life forever. His childhood sweetheart, Charlotte "Chuck" Charles (Anna Friel), is murdered on a cruise ship under strange circumstances. Her death brings him back to his hometown of Coeur d' Coeurs to bring Chuck back to life, albeit briefly, and solve the crime. But once reunited with Chuck, Ned can't bring himself to send her back. He helps her escape after her grieving aunts, Lily and Vivian (Swoosie Kurtz, Ellen Greene), former synchronized swimmers Darling Mermaid Darlings, think they've buried her forever.
Chuck becomes the third partner in Ned and Emerson's PI enterprise, but she encourages them to use their skills for good, not just for profit. Ned is overjoyed to be reunited with Chuck, the only girl he's ever loved. Life would be perfect, except for one cruel twist -- if he ever touches her again, she'll go back to being dead, this time for good.
What caught my attention was it was from Bryan Fuller from Heroes. The idea seems really creative.
It starts October 3, Wednesday at 8 to 9pm on ABc..anyone gonna watch it?

There's not a thread on this? Odd.
I must admit, when I first heard about it I was like "huh? that sounds kinda dumb." but I deffinately will be watching it. The more I've heard about it the more it's grown on me. I just hope that it's something good and something that the network doesn't cancel right away (like many stations do.)

I watched the leaked pilot already...I LOVE IT! Lee Pace and Anna Friel are so adorable together, the concept is entirely original and well-executed, and so quirky! I can't wait for more episodes.

Ah, the chick who's in the show (I have no idea who she is) was on The View a while ago... that's where I remember hearing a lot about it. She's talks really funny though, that might annoy me when I watch the show, haha.

Wow, I definitely could not of gathered all of that from the commercials.

The commercials looked cool, and I was going to give it a try, but I definitely will now that I know the entire plot.
And Gigi, how the heck did you already watch the entire episode? xD

I know! When I saw the previews for this I thought itd be some Disney thing. I can't believe it doesn't come out til October.

I'll be waiting on it. The ads that they have put up everywhere doesn't help too much either.

It looks like it might be complicated. That or they just want to make it sounds confusing and then it'll be simple.

Hah, I was wondering why it was called Pie-lette instead of Pilot. I liked it, but that narrators voice kept reminding me of the wallgreens commercials...

"Bitch, I was in proximity!"
"I'll be so mad if you're lying, you'll have me scratching the drapes!"
"Please don't attack the window treatments."
Haha, that was pretty funny. The humour is dry and Lee Pace is completely deadpan; the conversation is really quite quick, actually Gilmore Girls-esque, so if you don't like that you might not like this.

Awww.

This is one of my favorite newest TV shows, aside from Chuck, Pushing Daisies is the most original show for the new seasons line-up. The imagery and cinematography is amazing. The dialog could be better, however thats not exactly what drew me to watch. The quality ABC HD is providing for Plasma televisions especially with Pushing Daisies would make anyone buy a HD TV. Brilliant show, and I'm glad its going to last.

I kinda like the narrator's voice in the background. Its easier for me to keep track of whats going on cause most of the time I don't get things. (I end up asking a lot of questions and missing the rest of it.) I'm watching it right now. I love his little childhood memory.

Alright, I'm gonna go back and watch it.

Last Night's Episode was great! I have nearly 20 Avatars recapping it, I am waiting for them to be approved. Another one of my favorite lines was "You framed someone for murder..you ASS! or when Olive said "This is a pie house not a herbal crack den."
Great episode, I hope this show last a while.
