So in math class, how long does it take before you look for the answers to the odd problems at the back of the book ?

I used to get too lazy to look, but Stats is way too boring.
1/2 a minute.

WE COULD DO THAT?

MY GRADE COULD'VE BEEN SAVED? Man, I hate you guys.

I would read the problem first, if it sounds do-able I'll try it out.
After two tries, the odd answers are my best friends. :]

I'm not in math

suckaaaaas.
When I was in math, I'd always look them up, but the pain was that they didn't show you how to do them and the only way you'd get credit for having the right answer is if you showed how you got that answer.

i don't do it at all because if my work isn't correct having the right answer won't do me much good ( if any at all). we go over it in class anyway. ]

I just checked the back occasionally after I was finished to see if I did it right.

Being as how I hated math in high school and I still do (in college calculus), if I don't get it on my first try, I I typically just flip to the back of the book and work the problem backwards, starting with the answer. And if I can't figure it out by solving it backwards, then I just copy down the answer and move on with my life.

I know!
But I look at the answers if the problem seems hard ;p

Ha, I never did when I had the opportunity.
But now our teachers assign the even numbers.
So much for that.

Not very long, I suck at math.

Now you see, I am preeeety good at deducing the impossibility of a math problem in a few seconds, so the tab that tells me where the answers are for the particular section is now withered and bent in alllll sortsa places. :x

I try and if I have a feeling it's wrong or something or when im done, I check the back. But its usually not that long since I suck at math.

If I'm feeling reaaaaaally lazy, then not very long at all..
If I'm actually in a Maths mood (rarely ever) I DO try it out, first

WTF? Once I got to high school, looking for answers in the back didnt do jack shit, since you get full credit just for trying the problem and homework was only 10%.

it only takes me around the first 30 minutes to look at the back since i'm really, really bad at math....but i guess it's not really cheating if they're showing you the correct way to do it?

It depended on the assignment, and if it was actually going to be checked. If it was, it typically took me about two problems before I did that.
I haaaaaaaate math. But I am soooooooo done with it now, because I am win, and exempted out of it through the math placement test here.
