It's happened before, like with Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy 7... etcetera etcetera. Do you think it takes away from the game?

I'm not really digging the KH manga...

I'm not really into the manga either but I guess there would have to be some kind of demand for it for them to make it. The anime isn't that bad for me, though. I quite liked the FF movie.

I really don't think it messes with the game at all. Seeing as the anime is based on the journey the character takes in the game. Except without the whole battle simulation and the waiting for his turn to attack. Tales of Symphonia has been made, Xenosaga has an anime, pssh soon they'll be making animes for every Japanese based game.

Just cuz the manga/anime sucks doesn't mean the game suddenly loses all respect and reputation (not to me at least). The DMC anime/manga-ish series was shit. It had no storyline and the action wasn't as cool as what you would receive from the games. But the game itself is still awesome. Didn't take away from the genre, no sir not at all.

I think it's just a publicity thing. Just because the game is popular they think that they can sell different mediums of the game.

Well now, LOOK WHAT HAPPENED TO POKEMON. It was an awesome game, but the anime was butchered. :P The manga was quickly forgotten -- Some people were shocked when I told them that there was such a thing as a Pokemon manga. And SRSLY, wth's with the Pokemon anime's dubbing?! =_= They ruined Brock's voice! LMFAO

Dude, Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children is NOT an anime. It was some 3-d stuff that they did. Anime is Japanese cartoons, afterall. But I guess it could fall in the same category :P It was pretty hardcore though. But hey, it's in a different arena. Final Fantasy Spirits Within was blah though, even though the main chick was HAWT.

Well, my opinion's useless, since I hardly watch any anime that's based on video games.
