so i'm pretty sure i'm in the right section of forums for this... if not, i suck laugh.gif

i'm a hardcore fan of tattoos... when i go out and buy a magazine, it's savage or inked or something like that... i've actually heard some people say that tattoos are NOT a form of art... how can that even be argued?? i can't even think of another way to describe it... maybe it's just me shrug.gif you can be against tattoos in general, but how can you deny their very nature?

ok so... rant aside laugh.gif tell me about your tattoos! pics are welcome tooooooooo! share the art!

We have a topic for posting pictures of tats in the picture forum, but I'm not sure if we have one to just discuss tattoos.

Anyway, I definitely think tattoos are a form of art. I want to get one after I move out. haha

I'm not too sure if this is the right forum for this, haha. I guess it could go in debate *gasp* and get lots of strange replies, or Lounge for more coverage.

Anyways, yes, it's art and your body is the canvas. It's a picture without the frame.

Stupid cliches, lol.

TRUE!

Well, it depends on the kind of tattoo.

I do think it's art. You know, form of self-expression. :)

For those who don't think tattoos are art, answer me this.

As long as it is on someone's skin, it isn't art? But when it is on paper, it is? Explain this to me.

OUCH!

Okay. Its still art. No matter what you use.
Just some people dont believe in tatooing your body, which is probably why they think it isnt art.

Tattoos are definitely art. Have you watched Miami Ink? LA ink? I mean, damn. All that with a needle! It's amazing what they can do. Simply amazing.
