When a lot of people want to get in shape and loose weight, they just look at the scale. Which is misleading. You can become thinner, and in shape and still weigh more.

Muscle weighs more than fat, so if you work out and change the flab into fab, you might weigh more, or the same than you did before.

The best way to loose weight is to stop drinking sodas, change to water. If you dont like water try the flavored water or lemonade. And drink plenty of it, the more water the fuller you get, so you dont pig out on cheetos all day.

thank you...your advice is so true...the best thing anyone can do to lose weight is stop drinking juices, sodas, wine, beer, etc. all you need is water.

I read somewhere that if the moon's directly overhead the scale will say that you're a couple of lbs. lighter than what you actually are.

Water is em-azing;;
it flushes out your system, which not only keeps you healthy, but it helps prevent fat buildup.

Also.

Apples.

The whole "An apple a day keeps the doctor away" thing?
Yeah, it works for fat, too.
Try it.
Seriously.

That lady in the radio contest who drank however many gallons of water for a Wii?
...yeah, that was sad.
Stupidity on the radio host's part for condoning such a contest.

Where you from?

That Hold your Wee for a Wii was ridiculous.. but I mean, if you're going to disregard that they have you SIGN A RELEASE in order for you to drink 2+ gallons of water and not take a piss just for a Wii, then you're probably, at the very least, slightly slow in the head.

I'd also like to point out that you don't convert fat to muscle; that's a common misconception. You lose fat and build muscle. Don't starve yourself to lose weight; that's helluv unhealthy. You want to burn more calories than you eat.

i used to be kind of heavy right before high school, but i bought this heart monitor that i can strap right under my boobs, it's amazing!
it comes with this watch and it has this "target heart rate" thing and it shows you how hard you can work your heart, even shows how many calories you burn too. i loveee it i lost about 15 pounds in about 4 months using it everyday and burning about 1,000 calories each day by just... dancing... usually only took me 1 hour 1/2. if every american had this, i doubt many people would be overweight it keeps me motivated. it probably would help others who say they want to lose weight but "can't" and hydration is key as well, just the same as watching what you eat.
