I guess 'equalizer' makes sense...but I'm not too sure. Is that the name of the bars or of the whole thing itself?

That's an equalizer. Come to think of it, I don't know what the picture of your thing is called, well, I can't remember. I don't know why equalizer popped into my head other than the fact that all the bars moving up and down remind me of an equalizer :)
