so yeah....can you do that?? put a search engine on a webpage?? my job this summer is to create a database, and they want me to put a search engine to make the database easy to search.

i kno a lot of webpages use google to do that...i have no idea how to do it tho, sry!

let me try to be clearer on what i need. im making a database for this research group. and they want me to make a sort of webpage for a database. now, in that webpage they want a search engine that can search the database i made for whatever file they need.
now im wondering if the above link would allow me to do that...

well u need to have more than 1,ooo previews(from diff ips etc) or somehing in order to have your page in a search engine.. i think.. b/c that's how all my pages are in the search engines. :)

ummm...i dont want my page to be featured in a search engine...
i'm making a webpage of a database for this research group. and they want the database to be easy to search for whatever they need. so i want some sort of search engine or soemthing to search the database for whatever the researcher needs....

ohh i getcha, that should b what ur looking for, depending on how u set up the 'database'
