I've seen quite a few posts (especially in that "are you circumcised" thread) abut what exactly circumcision does and why it's done.

It's quite simple really. Circumcision is a Christian/Jewish tradition. Back then, they didn't have showers n soap n stuff, so the Bible said that all men must be circumcised. When you get circumcised, the doctor cuts off a bit of skin that covers the head of a guy's penis. This is done so that cleaning the penis is easier, and it reduces the chance of infection. It's usually done to babies cuz when you're older and have a more clear memory, it hurts like a B****, and will stay in your mind.

That's ALL circumcision does. Here's a fairly good note to guys who aren't circumcised...

The skin that the doctors cut off is called the foreskin. This skin actually serves a purpose. When you do XXX, the foreskin pretty much makes everything feel better. Bolded for emphasis. That's what it does. I don't know if it does anything for the girl, but its SCIENTIFIC purpose is to allow... easier movement -.-, and more pleasure. I don't want to go into much more detail as to HOW, cuz I think I'm already treading on a very thin line <.< ...

there's more to the Judeo-Christian tradition than simply its easier to keep it clean. the circumcision was to be a sign of the covenant between God and the people of Israel, the children of Abraham, who was Abram. when God made his covenant, he changed Abram's name to Abraham and told him to circumcise himself and all his male descendants. This is the significance behind circumcision, at least in the Judeo-Christian order of things.

Personally, as a Christian, since Christ formed a new covenant in dying, circumcision is not necessary. there was a new covenant formed by Christ's sacrifice for us (1 Corinthians 11:25)

eh, that's all...i just wanted to clarify further the importance of circumcision.

my aunt knew someone that wasn't circumsized and he went to the beach, and he got ONE GRAIN OF SAND in his foreskin while like...sitting in the and he got a real bad infection.

i felt real bad. :/

I feel sorry for all the people who weren't circumcised at birth, and are going to do it when they're older. I'm not circumcised, and I am NOT going to let anything sharp near the head of my penis.

For those of you curious why having a foreskin makes sex feel better, it's because when you have sex or even when you masturbate, you're stimulating the nerves in the head of your penis. The foreskin, which is skin over your penis, is designed specifically to enhance this "stimulating of the nerves". Thus, it's sort of like having sex and masturbating at the same time.

You forgot to include that uncircumcised penises look weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeird. Not that circumcised ones are not weird looking, just...uncircumcised...*shiver*.

A lot of the guys I know were circumcized around the age of 10 though, I heard it was because the parents wanted them to witness the circumcision instead of not knowing how it happened and what not. So basically, noncircumcized men just have an extra sex enhancer?

I suppose myself and a few old guy friends are mine are not and nobody dare force me to. I'm actually happy that I'm not.
