Prenup 101
A prenup is a contract, drawn up before marriage, stating how property and money will be divided in case of divorce or death.
If you don't get one... all assets will be split 50/50.
Statistics show that nearly half of marriages end in divorce.
How do you feel about Prenups?
Will you get one?

I can understand if a wealthy person is marrying a not so wealthy person, or celebrities, but I don't think they're so common amongst average middle-class marriages.
So, if I end up being super rich when I'm older and marry an average Joe, I might get one. But at the time when you get one, I don't think you're thinking "what if we divorce" and more like "if we get divorced, I would want them to have something". Can you get them reversed or changed?

yeah. you get it done about a month before the wedding usually. :)
I will probably get one.
It's just a smart idea.
You know, in the event that sometime MIGHT happen!

Hell yes, I'm going to make a pre-nup.
I wouldn't be offended if my husband suggests signing a prenup before the wedding. I think it would be a wise thing to do especially if the two of us had bought properties together like a house, a car, etc. I'm not about to split everything 50/50 with someone I'm divorcing.
Like Amber said, it is the smart thing to do.
You never know what your husband might do in the event that he turns on you.
Just to be on the safe side, you know?

I don't think I'll get one. I'm sure that I'll be able to talk this over with whomever I marry, without the help of a lawyer thanks.

Women deserve everything since they make the babies...

Id never sign that if my fiance tried to pull that shit on me.Why?Because it says that hes only thinking about the money and not about love.Besides if you spent time with someone there isnt nothing wrong with spliting it 50/50 say that it fails.

I'd hide a majority of my assets in offshore accounts before marriage. Especially with women these days, hell no suck my dick you aren't getting my money

i agree with mercy
who cares about the $
you're getting married with the person you love!(hopefully)
and you shouldn't be saying "what if we get divorced" if you two love eachother enough to get married.

I will more then likely get one. To me its a smart thing to do. If something happens to eather one of us I want to be sure I will be ok finantually. Its not like I would be asking for a devorice im just making sure that everything will be ok in case something does happen. ^^ Mm-hmm.
Getting a prenup doesn't mean you're anticipating divorce.
You're just preparing yourself for the worst.
Like making an emergency pack in case a hurricane comes and you have to evacuate.

Depends on the kind of marriage I'm going into. Most likely no, though ^_^

MICHELLES AFTER MY MONEY. Nah I wouldn't sign a pre-nup. Chances are, I'll end up spending most of my money on her anyways so there won't be much to take haha

Has anyone seen Intolerable Cruelty with George Clooney and Catherine Zeta-Jones?
Heck if I was marrying Miles Massey [Clooney] I would tear up my prenup too. Just because I want to be a gold digger biatch just like Marylin Rexroth [Zeta-Jones].
Not.

That's a tough one. I don't think I would want one. I hope that the person I marry will be able to live and stay with me in harmony. Hmm...I think if anything, I would be able to work it out with my husband.
