It depends on what you're trying to do. I would suggest reading up on some PHP tutorials before starting and trying to dive into it.

i don't think that helps. um, i installed a zip file of cutenews and i need to take that up on my site. but i can be dumb. i don't know what the server means or the directory means... =/

learning a new programming language is very much like learning a real language. it takes time, patience, and practice. that said, id recommend you check out the php docs (http://www.php.net/manual/en/) and briefly read through the manual to understand what php is for and what it can do for you. also, if your using an app like cutenews, youre best bet of getting support is by asking in their forum / mailing list. =)

well, this topic can be closed. i just got it after messing around with my cutenews for a few hours =P it's so easy!! wow, wonder why i never got it in the first place.. eh.
